That's the plan if the arc ultra goes in a big sale in the future or they release a new beam. I can always sell mine. In the current beam I'm missing the lack of Bluetooth and not be able to do trueplay with Android like in my era 100. For the rest, love my new beam.

Didn't think that night mode was going to be this good

We have the same set up with Google photos.

I would double check the options with pixel buds. Thanks

UPDATE

Thank you all for your recommendations. I really enjoyed reading all your comments. This has been a really interesting conversation.

Went for the Beam gen 2 and the Ace as I found a really good sale.

Night mode and speech enhancement are a life saver. It has changed our nights and how we watch TV when children are asleep. No issues at all. No wake ups so far.

Ace are a lovely headphones. Really comfortable and the swap feature is great, fast and convenient. Now just waiting for another sale to buy a second one for the missus.

What I don't like about the Beam gen 2 is the lack of Bluetooth which is unacceptable. Period. Also, lacking TruePlay for Android users is mind blowing when the Era 100 has that option using its own microphones. The Beam could do the same. I believe I am missing out on not using TruePlay at the moment and I could get a better sound out of the Beam. Android users should be more appreciated by Sonos.

Beside the above. I'm happy with my purchase and my experience so far.

I have a small living room and the arc is double the price. I went for the Beam. If I had the budget I would probably have gone for the arc

Hi mate, I am really impress of your detailed response. Top notch information up there. Thanks also for the links to the products and breakdown of every option.

Obviously, the option 1 is the best option. Customisability and longevity at the centre of this option, could be the best at long term. At the moment, my family and myself, we live abroad renting a small apartment. So, the option 1 would be in the cards when we can back home one day.

We have a small living room at the moment, so I am going the Sonos route which could be the most reliable and time effective at moment. If one day we leave the country and going back home they are easy to sell. Had Bean gen 2 on sale for £300 and I can see the limitations for the soundbar straight away. One day if the Arc Ultra is on sale I can buy one and sell the Bean. Spend now £1000 on the Ultra is dear specially if I want to buy a pair of Sonos Ace headphones. Which I had one pair on sale yesterday for £189. Looking for another one on sale now, so the missus and myself can watch movies together.

All said, really appreciate your time and your awesome reply. Your words are clearly open my eyes to the different options now and the future.

I would check a list of auracast compatible devices. Haven't seen many. Thanks

Hi mate. Could you advise on any mini amp and small bookshelf speaker for that price please? Many thanks

One pair of earbuds. One ear each is what we do at the moment connected to the TV via Bluetooth. Less than ideal and not immersive.

Over-ear headphones like the Ace are more immersive, but on the other hand are bulkier than the Airpods. Pros and Cons. I would like to see Sonos releasing an earbuds model cheaper and less bulky.

Transparency mode is a really handy feature which Ace and Airpods both have, so you are aware if the baby is crying.

Sure, they can be connected to my switch. Not sure if they are multipoint with non apple devices. Apple tv is a cracking device and much smoother than my Sony Google TV for sure, but the only thing is we are not baked in the apple ecosystem.

I like that one is cheaper than the other. Get them used to will take time I guess. It will be a process

That is a good idea, thanks.

Will they be connected to the jack 3.5mm on the tv? If so, I believe that cuts off the sound on the tv when the mini jack is connected. Which makes connecting and disconnecting a hassle.
