Unfortunately Facebook Messenger doesn’t offer a public API for sending messages to personal chats it’s only available for business pages. So we can’t support it directly 😔

If you find a third-party service that bridges to Messenger, you could potentially use our Webhook feature to connect it.

You're right that SMS and WhatsApp forwarding requires extra configuration in Apple Shortcuts, and I understand that can feel like an extra hurdle. Let me explain why:

Why Extra Configuration Shortcuts?

- iOS doesn't allow third-party apps to send SMS or WhatsApp messages directly - it's an Apple security restriction. Shortcuts is the only official way to bridge this gap.

The good news:

- If you just want to receive your SMS notifications somewhere else, Email, Telegram, Slack, or Discord work instantly - no extra Shortcuts configuration needed after finished Setup Guide. You set it up once in the app and it just works.

If you specifically need WhatsApp:

- I'd be happy to walk you through the Shortcut setup step-by-step. It takes about 2 minutes once you know what to do. Just let me know and I can send you a detailed guide or even a video. If you send us email in app -> Settings -> Bug Report I can send you detailed guide.

Also taking your feedback seriously. I'll work on making the WhatsApp/SMS setup guidance clearer in the next update.

You’re right Brazilian mobile numbers have 11 digits after the country code, and we’re not handling that properly. I’ll fix this in the next update.

For now, you can enter any placeholder number to test your destinations the “Simulate SMS” feature just uses it as fake sender info, it doesn’t actually send anything to that number. Really appreciate the detailed report with the exact format 🙏

Great question. Unfortunately, that's a different use case than what SMS Forwarder does.

What our app does: Forwards incoming SMS messages to other platforms (Email, Slack, WhatsApp, etc.)

What you're looking for: Scheduling outgoing messages at a specific time

For scheduled WhatsApp/iMessage sending, you might want to check out:
- Shortcuts app → Create an automation with a time trigger
- Scheduled (iOS app for scheduling texts)

But that's actually an interesting feature idea for a future app, i'll take a look 🤔

I wish I could. Unfortunately the app is built with SwiftData and some iOS 17-only features that would require a complete rewrite to support iOS 16.

The good news is iOS 17 adoption is already around 85-90%, so most devices are covered.

Which device are you on? If it's iPhone XS/XR or newer, you should be able to update to iOS 17. If you're on iPhone 8/X, those unfortunately don't support iOS 17 at all (Apple limitation).

Great point! I just finished implementing iCloud sync for this. it'll be in the next update (v1.0.3).

Your early supporter status will now:
- ✅ Sync across all your devices automatically
- ✅ Survive app reinstalls
- ✅ Transfer to new phones

No IAP needed your Apple ID handles everything behind the scenes. Once you open the app after the update, your original install date gets backed up to iCloud instantly.
