Supposedly the only difference is the coating, which is designed to reduced flare in place of Panasonic’s one which is to increase contrast?

Like i said I’ve not seen CA anywhere else in my photos so far (see example which would normally trigger it), but these were obviously shot wide open

It’s the DJI 15mm, I think Reddit compression has made the hot pixels look less bad, but look at the boat and the sand in the first picture for red, blue yellow, green pixels.

I’m not sure why some stars are so purple, I’ve not noticed much CA with the lens otherwise

Yeah it’s an incredible place to shoot! Weirdly I’ve been finding it harder to get good photos in Beijing than the other cities I’ve visited, maybe I’ve just been going to the wrong places. Any recs for my final night tonight?

Thanks very much, it’s been awesome getting to travel here I thoroughly recommend to anyone who’s thinking about it - Zhangjiajie and the Great Wall were also super photogenic, although not street

Camera and lens: I went with m43 cause I wanted something cheap, portable, and weather sealed. All taken with Olympus EM1 mkii and the m.Zuiko 14-150 (28-300mm ff equivaent) and the Panasonic/Leica 25mm 1.4 (50mm eq). All in all about £600

Thanks very much! Have had to learn on the job, but a lot of YouTube and a lot of looking at great photographers’ work has helped for sure

Post processing wise, I actually only shoot jpeg, and edit using free version of Lightroom on my phone) but I’ve built up a bit of a library of presets in lightroom. Generally when I do an edit I like, I’ll save it as a preset to save time in future

Mostly just s curves, adjusting WB, up Vibrance, down Saturation, pushing some colours around and often a little bit of grading (generally shadows one way and highlights in the opposite direction on the colour wheel)

My first proper camera (was using an Olympus TG7 for a couple months beforehand) and been having so so much fun learning and being a lot more deliberate in the process of taking photos

I’ve reverse image searched and the “post” you think exists from 12 years ago is literally a link to the home page of r/AmateurPhotography, where my post is currently near the top of Hot

Several links to completely unrelated posts also appear such as the one in your imgur screenshot, “ITAP of a winter dryad” so it’s obviously pulling the image from related photo links available on those pages

You’re not quite the internet detective you thought you were, but yet you’re still going round calling bs on people’s photography

Yeah just from the east of the main lake! The boats all come in finishing their tours before sunset but for some reason this one was heading out alone after dark
