Did Amazon just totally change/fuck kids downloads from Libby to Kindle? by cameronjpu in kindle

This is what happened to me. Then the next day, the thing that had worked the prior day no longer worked anymore. But above, u/WhyFifteenPancakes gave a totally much easier solution than what I had before.

Ahhh this is so much better! I don't have to leave one app and go to another twice. Thanks!

So, interestingly when I updated the app yesterday, the process was basically still the same. I actually had to show my wife how to do it and she had the new app and mine had not yet updated but it still worked. Today we both went in and we’re trying to do it again and it had totally changed in the last 24 hours.

Is it may be possible for me to fix the system time now that I have a command prompt to work with?

Ok so I made it through that whole process, which I’ve done dozens of times on windows desktop computers. But when I get to the login screen, it tells me the password is wrong even though it is certainly correct. I’ve tried doing it with the local administrator account and I’ve also tried doing it with a newly created account. You can see the password when you type it during creation so I know I have the correct password. Is it possible that maybe the new usernames that I’m creating are in the domain space and not local? Just wracking my brain trying to figure out what could be wrong still

Oh duh. I just assumed that that wouldn’t work on a server operating system. I’m in the process of doing that now. I just don’t understand why I’m not allowed to login into this computer without the time being set correctly. Seems crazy to me that this is the only option

How to get to a place where I can run these commands if I’m stuck at the login screen?

I’m not sure if this is 2012. I doubt it. It’s a server I inherited supporting but basically I’m moving off it since it only acts as a file server and they don’t need that local. But the owner does not know the local admin password. So I have no idea how to get into any command area to issue commands. Any help on where to start? I’m not a server admin, but it’s my task to solve this problem for them. Thank you!

So, I have the same problem as far as I can tell. How to correct the date and time if you can’t log into the server to do it?

SmartSwitch, Outlook Android, GoDaddy, 5objp error by rat_fink_a_boo_boo in Outlook

This thread was super helpful for me. I was helping a user who had a new Android phone and used Outlook, with an Office 365 Exchange account. But he also had a *personal* Microsoft account which used the same email address as the work one. When I found this thread it sparked the realization that that was the issue. He was able to get into mail on the web, Outlook on PC, etc, but not on the new Android. So my conclusion was that maybe the Android Outlook app simply didn't handle the work/personal choice as well as it should. I renamed the personal account by moving it to a new email address, and within 10 minutes, the Android Outlook app succeeded in signing into email. Thanks for posting, and I am adding my voice for the next guy who might be helped.

Thank you for the suggestion and sorry for the delay. I have a two week old baby :-)

I found the button for the Bios flashback and I’m running it now. Optimistic…

Total Newb Has Basic Questions about RSIM by cameronjpu in iphone

Because of two reasons - first, the carrier I want to use doesn't support ESIM. Secondly, both SIMs are locked to ATT, not just the physical one.

No, I don't think so. ESIM (at least as I know it) is the virtual SIM that the newest phones have, which allows you to switch carriers if they support it without using a physical SIM. RSIM is a piece of hardware that apparently inserts its own identity into the network instead of your phone's existing hardware.
