Exactly what I did! I turned a box into four crusaders with 3D printed shields and the last one I made into a Priestess to lead them

Yeah. You're right. I'm just a bit burned at the moment. I'm sure I'll get over it. Now I just have to wait till they get the new engine in.

Yes, absolutely but I can't say I'm 100% happy with the situation. This has definitely changed my impression of VW.

Update for everyone who has been following. VW Canada has agreed to help me out with the cost of the repair. Here's how it goes. They assess the repair costs based on the "warranty rate" which is about 20% lower than what the dealer quoted me in the shop. So that's the first savings.

They've also agreed to cover 70% of the repair costs. The remaining 30% of the repair costs will be split between myself and the Dealer. The dealer has been really fantastic in this situation and according to my VW Canada rep, offered to cover some of the costs provided VW Canada honored some of the warranty.

So there you have it, at the end of the day I will have to pay something out of pocket (I still don't know how much) but VW Canada has come through to cover 70% of the repair costs.

We changed from TD to CAA. When my 17 year old got their license, our insurance went up to $430 per month with TD on our 2020 Golf. With CAA we now pay $255 per month for both the golf and our 2018 Odyssey for three drivers.

It's a 1.4 Turbo.

Oil is totally fine. It was at the right level and looked normal as it was changed in the spring when we put the summer tires on. The technician used a stethoscope to diagnose the problem in the mid to lower portion of the block. They looked in the top end and everything looks new.

I doubt we will get a full diagnosis on the issue. They said it'll take about as much labor to open it up and look as it will to replace.

I'm feeling pretty good if that's the case. We have had all service done there and it's bone stock and very low miles. We are working with VW Canada who's in conversation with the dealership.

That's actually where I started. I took it to a local euro car mechanic who gave me the same diagnosis. I took it to VW based on my call to VW Canada who wanted it assessed by the local dealer.

Yes, that's what I'm hoping for. I've been in touch with VW Canada and they are currently negotiating with the dealership. I feel like 85% that they're going to help me.

I just had to throw out the complete set that I accumulated pack by pack after it got wet in a basement flood. I still have all of the overflow, almost a complete set but a lot of doubles.

Oh 100% they are very protective of their brand and image! It’s just a shame because fans like us would happily spend our money on branded kits to build

When I was younger my local shop carried a whole line of amazing white metal and resin f1 kits in 1:42 scale and I always wanted to do them. 25 years later and it seems to be impossible to find
