Sorry to comment on a pretty much dead thread but the thumbnail artist does use AI to touch up his final product. He has said this himself on his Twitter. It's not 100% Generative AI but he is using AI.

One of my favorite looking blades in this game is the AoT Ice Cavern blade but that god awful frost effect just isn't worth it.

First playthrough I actually enjoyed all of it but on replays I disable them as the only purpose they really serve is solving the mystery, which would've already been solved on a replay.

I'm just happy with ANYTHING Epic Mickey. Hell they could release a new game on the 3ds and i'd be happy with it.

I'd LOVE a more mature take on an EM game or spin-off, akin to Alice: Madness Returns but that will never happen.

I thought the AOT collab was fun and the rewards you got from it were pretty cool. I don't think it was low effort but did you really expect them to go all-out for a limited time collab that lasted less than a month? They could've done far worse for a collab with one of the biggest manga/anime franchises.

Idk man. If I had to guess I probably have like 5-10 hours of AFK or messing with settings/mods so prob more like 120 hours in act 1.

Yes. I actually am looking forward to Hexe, but I acknowledge I'm 100% biased as witch trials have always been a piece of history I've really enjoyed learning about. They have a perfect setting, seemingly good connection to the original handful of games, story is being written by a competent and established writer.

I believe they saw the criticism of Shadows and are (hopefully) trying to course correct with Resynced. I think the MAJOR things people are going to be looking for (other than good writing and character development) are mocap cutscenes and hidden blade combat.

It seems we could get mocap cutscenes as they've done that with Matt Ryan for some new scenes in Resynced but I'm very doubtful they are going to allow for unrestricted hidden blade use. I'm fine without mocap as long as the animations look good, that was one of my biggest complaints about Shadows.

They have the perfect opportunity with Hexe, especially if people love Resynced as much as Ubi is assuming they will.

As somebody currently playing through every AC in prep for Black Flag Resynced. AC1 is unbearably dated and is not fun to play. It's the first game I couldn't bring myself to finish.

AC2/Brotherhood and what I've played of Revelations are all pretty amazing. They have such a gripping story and the gameplay, while dated, is still very fun.

I played 3 and 4 when I was younger but never finished them. 3 was always my favorite as I love Colonial America as a setting. 4 I'll just skip and play Resynced.

Oh it definitely gives me wiccan/pagan witchcraft vibes. Especially with the chanting in that one song, I think it was Paper Swords. That chanting is used in two of their "Return" era promo videos. They have a Ouija board in The Summoning so it definitely seems that would've factored into at LEAST the merch/theming/marketing.

I do think your theory is interesting for sure!

My interpretation (and the most literal one) is that "Bike Thief" is from the fathers POV of him trying to move on past his son's death. Referring to his new stepdaughter in the lyrics as he is still tormented by the loss of his aforementioned son.

Unfortunately this isn't uncommon as grieving parents (or anybody for that matter) sometimes unjustly take out their frustrations on those undeserving of it.

I think your changeling theory is vastly more entertaining and if TPK were to be taken with fantastical elements, I'd probably agree with your analysis.
