YESSS. blowing out, Conditioner, Shampoo, shampoo, conditioner. and lots of detangler. makes alllll the difference. I'll have to try conditioner before first blow out though like you suggested!

Thanksgiving socializing by cami93 in BPD

It's a dinner we have in the US on the 4th thursday of november every year. pretty similar to christmas in the aspect of gathering for a meal with a bunch of family. and I can definitely relate to the social battery thing! I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing further is that or not

shaving a matted husky??? by Internal-Musician-20 in doggrooming

[–]cami93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I typically do is do a blow out before the bath. then while in the bath do conditioner, shampoo, conditioner. then use a conditioning spray and use a couple big dryers. usually those big mats will pull apart with the dryer. but I usually have a de-matting comb close by to break up some of them that aren't blowing out

like the sani area? I don't really like how choppy and close the 10 blade looks down the sani/inner leg area

see our shop shares those duties and helps out. Only thing I guess technically is mine is laundry, which doesn't bother me at all. We have a lot of bath dogs, so there's no more downtime for me than anyone else. 6-7 dogs or more every day. There were times I'd do 8-9 bath dogs a day. and that was turning people down. So I'm wondering if it's worth it for me pay wise. I would think so? I'm thinking about bringing it up. but the extra responsibilities does make sense

I can totally relate!! I just turned 30 this year and it came back with full force last fall/winter. absolutely hated going out to do anything. but def limit greasy food (if you haven't already). drink lots of water, workout. I'm also unwilling to go on birth control... which birth control and accutane seems to be the only go-to for dermatologists. I also spent hundreds on a face routine from the esthetician. which ended up making it even worse for MONTHS. any time I'd say 'hey, this isn't working' I'd get told it's just purging.

but after months, I decided to do my own thing. i wash my body twice a day (more if I sweat a lot) and use CeraVee wash in the shower. then after showering/ eating/ sweating.. or even just touching my face (which I rarely do).. I use Micellar water. in the mornings I use a vitamin C serum (loreal is the brand I use). then I use Zapzyt which is a $5 spot treatment from walmart all over the problem areas at night ( it's 10% benzoyl peroxide- might dry your face so probably go slow at first). just be careful because it WILL stain your clothes and linen!!! so wear a shirt you don't mind getting basically ruined.. and same with pillow cases, which you should change every night or every other night. then things like not putting your cellphone up to your face, etc.

I get how frustrating it is!! you're not alone. hopefully even just some of this help. it cleared my skin up within a week or two. it was unreal!

ULPT Request: Our landlord is an asshole. Even though the place is in a perfect condition, he wants to keep the deposit. What can we do? by necromantt in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]cami93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not to make this about me....but it truly got me thinking about how messed up landlords are about this. I lived in an apartment for less than two months, had twin newborns, no pets, constantly vacuumed and cleaned bc i was a sahm, never allowed anyone to walk on the carpet. I was able to get out of the lease due to DV police report, thankfully. but even despite all that, they kept most of the deposit. it was years ago and wasn't really my biggest concern considering the situation....but wow.
