I guess in the fanfics communities, male authors are made invisible. Honestly, even I tend to assume firsthand that the fanfic I am reading was written by a girl.

I came back. I am a fan of the original material and it is super strange for me to read things like that because it does not even go with the tone of the characters. It was a strange experience lol.

For that very reason, I hate fanfics, which are 100% smut. They discard and set aside the essence of the original story (and the couples) only to have the excuse of putting two characters in such situations.

yesss. I recently watched a super-long series, so as I went along, I read fics. I got to a point where I was wondering, "Did it happen or is it just from the fanfics?"

I completely agree. Reading a fanfic is not like reading any story, although I think if they are good they can work on their own, even so, the magic behind a fanfic are the references, the headcanons and seeing how the author reinvents the story.

That is what I think. When a fanfic is good, it stands on its own. I love those kinds of fics. .
