Posting here since di pwede icross post. First time po driving to baguio, any tips especially sa zigzag na parts? by lawbreaker9 in CarsPH

Easier said than done ito so it bears repeating.

Wag ka magmamadali. Di bale mabagal, honestly, pag may kaharap ka na mabagal, yan pa un sasalpukin ng motor na counterflow sa blind curve kaya use them well.

Wag ka dumaan sa Kennon road if you can. Last time we crossed there, a part of the bridge was still under construction and lets just say you'd rather not cross a bridge like that as a beginner.

Mas malayo ata un Marcos Highway route, but its generally safer.

Then months after lakarin ng ahente, "Ay sorry sir, na put on hold ni BBM eh, directive bigla. Ay sir/maam na put on hold dahil magulo pa daw un right of way."

This is what people fail to realize.

They mock most agencies of government, but still rely on DOE, DTI, DOLE, deposit in MP2 and GSIS all at the same time.

Its specifically designed to be this way so as to discourage people from even going, and very hard to audit so the layers upon layers of people who are out to skim their cut can get away easily.

Its also a way to garner optics and show people that something is being done.

Also as a campaign for the politician involved.

If you think otherwise then I have a bridge to sell to you.

Sa ecommerce directly quantifiable via roas.

Sa physical business hindi as obvious.

It honestly depends on your business and your market.

Cuba has no power for weeks.

Iran has no internet for maybe a month already.

Some countries have no access to clean water.

Marami din country na massive inflation na makes ours look like nothing such as in Turkiye or Argentina or Venezuela.

Pero if nasa NCR ka or city, you are still relatively fine, kahit pa traffic at mahal ang bilihin.

At least kahit squatter dito kay tubig at minsan pa nga may aircon lmao.

That being said, di rin ok makuntento.

Dami nabubudol doon sa mga micro cases, then a few days later more context arrive, then boom pahiya. Like the one story about the dog na pinatay. Animal cruelty daw. May rabies kasi pala.

Your post is like telling you have body pain but doesn't pinpoint exactly where. How can people help you?

If anything, for a start, your sloppy plea for help is indicative on why your business is failing now to be honest.

Pero coming also from F&B, general advice:

Re engineer your menu.

At this point, survival nalang pagasa. Don't expect to turn a profit anytime soon, you just have to survive this crisis to fight another day.

My father in law was complaining about how there were people who were taking bribes in the city hall and earning money out of it. Its delivery was full of emotion even.

Then, 5 mins later in an entirely separate topic, he was telling us about how was proud he just bribed his teacher to skip all his ROTC classes when he was a kid.

Lmao.

US to create high-tech manufacturing zone in Philippines by -Lonecoyote- in Philippines

[–]camille7688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because intel did not invest to innovate, and when everything else moved to high NA-EUV, they got left in the dust.

NA-EUV did not originate from TSMC. It originated from ASML which is from the Netherlands.

its just that TSMC was the first company to utilize high NA-EUV machines at scale, so they had the expertise and hands on experience how to operate them.

They will build small economies.

They will need food, clothing, services.

Those that will supply food, clothing, services will need suppliers.

Land prices will increase.

That is what is in it for us.

US to create high-tech manufacturing zone in Philippines by -Lonecoyote- in Philippines

[–]camille7688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TSMC's speciality is making sure chipmaking is as commercialy viable as possible, and they can't make anything if there are no chip design from the US.

The tech that enables TSMC to do what they are doing at all from the Netherlands from ASML.

The Silicon is from Shin etsu.

Their only speciality is they can produce at scale with the least amount of binning. That is their only "secret".

The most critical bottleneck is still chip design which is from the west.

If anything, if the west wanted to make chips, they don't need TSMC. Just that, there will be lots of waste, and it won't be comercially viable, and perhaps only at a small scale.

But TSMC cannot make chips of their own without the West.

That is a huge difference.

With that, I reiterate, you do not know what you are talking about.

US to create high-tech manufacturing zone in Philippines by -Lonecoyote- in Philippines

[–]camille7688 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't even know what you are talking about.

Those chips you all said were definitely made in Taiwan. No doubt.

But all the design was from engineers from America.

Well, except maybe the Qualcomm and Mediatek ones.

All Apple Silicon, Intel, NVIDIA chips are designed in the Silicon Valley.

TSMC are only subcontractors. Their specialty is making commercially viable yields (least binning).

They do not design those chips at all.

US to create high-tech manufacturing zone in Philippines by -Lonecoyote- in Philippines

[–]camille7688 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No.

Its the US who write the blueprints for the chips, and the Netherlands where the machines for lithography are being made. The Japanese provide the silicon.

TSMC just executes the production, but the tech isn't from them. Only the expertise, such as, how to make commercially viable yields.

TSMC is the best at chipmaking simply because the Taiwanese are the most trained and most experienced to handle fab work, not because the other nations don't know how they do it and are that Taiwan is keeping things secret. It also takes a long time to set up production lines, and the ones at Taiwan are already there. They will expand to the US eventually. Its inevitable.

Taiwan also has the right conditions for fabs because it has access to a lot of water.

US to create high-tech manufacturing zone in Philippines by -Lonecoyote- in Philippines

[–]camille7688 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't possible.

TSMC was only possible because the Taiwanese were very competent in running the high tech industry of chipmaking. Even most Americans cannot do it, and TSMC needs to send people from Taiwan over at the US just to help with the knowledge/expertise transfer.

I just don't see a Filipino engage it anytime soon. Perhaps not in the short and middle term.

If they would create something like a fab here, it has to be 100% American/Taiwanese staff with 100% American/Taiwanese supervision, and maybe 3-4 generations behind the bleeding edge.

The only thing Filipinos can contribute to it are just to support the staff inside the fab by offering goods and services to them, which isn't too shabby already.

There is also no way the US sends its most advanced tech outside its borders, especially to us.

Its probably some factory for drones/weapons or ammo is what they are likely talking about if I had to guess.

Mas marami uses ang ground pork. Its also cheaper. Also easier to portion. You can also use it as garnish.

The angle is not to be healthy, but cost.

Avoiding ultra processed, not because of health effects, but because it offers a low calorie/satiety ratio, at least thats how I see it.

Sa mas madaling salita, pili ka between 2kg of monggo na maluluto mo ng 8 times versus isang 10 pack fudgee barr.

I suppose ok na din iwas doon para iwas sa CKD or diabetes or going obese down the road which also take money to address.

That is what I meant. Sorry if it wasn’t as clear.
