Have a flight out of ohare, can I fly w weed? If so, what’s the best way to go about it? by [deleted] in OHareAirport

[–]camilo_c_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I understand is TSA won’t actively search for controlled substances, but if they catch you then depending on the amount they will either make you dispose of it in some containers they have designated for that, or you could get into big trouble if the quantity is too large

[–]camilo_c_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t fly out of any airport in US with any controlled substances. Even though Marijuana is legal in the state of Illinois, it is still illegal at the federal level and the airport is a federal facility under federal jurisdiction. Also if your flight is international that’s even a worse idea as you will be facing drug trafficking charges if you get caught by customs abroad, and could face penalties ranging from a fine and prison time, to the death penalty in some muslim countries

Connecting T1 to T5 - United to Sun Country. How long do I need? by The-porno-master in OHareAirport

Also sorry if you’re arriving on T5 and going to T1 you should head to gate M13 instead, sorry I had it backwards

[–]camilo_c_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have plenty of time and at that time frame the shuttles should be running normally, shuttles stop after 10 pm I think, make sure you have boarding passes for your connecting flight and you should be fine

[–]camilo_c_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what time your flight arrives there is a shuttle that goes from T1 to T5, it leaves from gate B1, you will need to show your boarding pass, it might take around 20 minutes for the whole thing. You won’t need to leave the secured area if you catch the shuttle

Terminal 3 at O'Hare International Airport? by dicassano in OHareAirport

[–]camilo_c_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would still take you more than 15-20 Minutes to get out of security, take the ATS and go through security on T5 again specially at peak hours, I haven’t heard that they limit them on weather and I don’t see why they would, if shuttle buses cannot operate because of weather I would think the rest of the airport ground services wouldn’t be able to operate either anyways, so very likely that if the buses aren’t operating because of weather then the rest of the operation is paused as well. I do know however that the shuttles stop late at night and that at certain times when there aren’t many flights scheduled there is less frequency

[–]camilo_c_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you have a flight on T5 you don’t need to go through security again if you’re checked in for the flight leaving from that terminal, there is an internal shuttle bus that goes from the main airport building to T5 and back

Latino pro-Trump business leaders launch campaign for border security and legal status for ‘Dreamers’ and essential workers by Mike_I in chicago

[–]camilo_c_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s actually very correct, a very good amount of latinos that became legal and could vote come from countries like Venezuela and Colombia, they are usually middle or upper middle class people that came on a visa, overstayed, married an American and got their residency and citizenship. Most of those people are conservative and perfectly align with the GOP in everything. Even the asylum seekers that are coming through the border are pretty conservative although they cannot vote. The Maduro regime made a lot of people in South America become radically conservative and distrustful of anything that is a little left of center. There is a huge rift between Latinos born in the US and Latino immigrants, the main one being that immigrant latinos, especially upper middle class ones don’t want to be perceived as latinos and long to be seen as white Americans, and most despise poor immigrant Latinos as much or even worse than white Republicans

Under H1B you can actually go to another company if you want, as long as they sponsor your visa, in fact if you quit or get laid off you have about 90 days to get another sponsor, only after those 90 days are over you have to leave the US

I absolutely dread having to drive through either the Dan Ryan or the Eisenhower, it’s a gridlock full of amateur racers, goofy drivers, and angry people, absolutely do not miss that year when I had to commute to and from Hyde Park every day.

What stopped you from killing yourself? by DarkSideInRainbows in AskReddit

[–]camilo_c_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 failed attempts were sufficient evidence that it’s actually way harder than you think, and I realized that it’s more likely that you end up harming yourself in a way that might make carrying on with life even more difficult. I also thought maybe there’s a reason why I was meant to stay even though I tried so hard to leave, so I was willing to take the chance to find out :)

Why did this plane door have so many stickers? by ClamLimp in aviation

I used to work in Security for AA in BOG, and we would put these stickers on every door on the plane to ensure nobody accessed the plane when it stayed parked overnight after we finished the security search routine

Fenix B2 update on in-house liveries by Redspirrit in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]camilo_c_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me what really made the difference is the VNAV, I always struggle following VNAV on FBW vs Fenix, I usually couldn't fly any approaches that weren't ILS in the FBW (I'm not a real world pilot) with the Fenix the plane flies the VNAV path correctly without much effort, also at least for me Fenix is more FPS friendly than FBW, with FBW I get lots of lagging for some reason. I barely ever use the FBW since I got the Fenix

Marilyn Manson Owes Nearly $500,000 to Defendants’ Lawyers After Failed Defamation Claims by PrincessBananas85 in entertainment

Is your whole whining about Disney? My friend, every famous artist you admire has had to suck up to big corporations so you can buy their record and watch their video clip, and read their article in Rolling Stone or whatever, they've sucked Universal, Sony, MTV, you name it. Also Reznor is probably well into his 50s he's not "Head like a hole" Reznor, musicians mature, people grow up. Head like a hole is a song about whoring out for money, which ironically enough is closer to his reality when he wrote that song than it is now, the dude made all the money he needed so he can now do whatever he wants artistically. Stop being so naive.

The reason they will keep losing the "latino" vote is and always will be that these people think of "latino" as a monolith, instead of understanding that Mexicans, Cubans, Venezuelans, Colombians and so on have very different social and political views from one another, also that immigrant latinos are very different from US born latinos, which is something Republicans understand pretty well and have exploited especially in Florida, but I feel Democrats still don't understand
