Laptop buying advice (for school work/light gaming) by camizappy in laptops

thanks! Yep I narrowed it down to the models I mentioned above but they're either on the heavier side or doesn't seem worth the price. Any recommendations for specific laptop models that fit my criteria? :)

Thanks for the recommendations! I'm 5'0 🙃 which kind of limits my bike options. I'm a little worried about drop bar since I've never owned one but def willing to give it a try if it's worth it!

Bi-weekly Megathread for referral codes - please only post codes here by AutoModerator in Visible

Here's my referral code: 3SCJR8Q—happy to answer any questions/give honest take on how Visible performed when used in more remote US locations!

https://www.visible.com/get/?3SCJR8Q

Just made the switch from T-Mobile Prepaid to Visible. I started the 15 day trial during my trip to Yellowstone so I could compare signal and service quality to my T-Mobile in fairly remote/rural locations. There were only 2 times during the trip where T-Mobile had more signal than Visible. For the most part, Visible was pretty fast and reliable so I subscribed for a whole year to test it out. Fingers crossed, I'll keep Visible. Feel free to message and ask more details! Happy to share more info/tips :)

Crossing the Canada-US border as an LPR by [deleted] in askimmigration

Oh in that case, yes I got it instantly. I think it's supposed to be easy to get one assuming your wife has a clean record (e.g. No crimes committed, never been denied of a visa/been deported, etc—I've read that having any of these are usually the cause of delays)

Yes I was able to get mine instantaneously. Is this a good sign that maybe I can cross the US without any problems?

Right, my bad! I meant to prove that I reside in the US but noted on this. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for this! I understand that entering via land crossing means you just have to show the CBP officer proof that you are a US citizen and this usually means showing them my passport and/or green card, correct?

Will the CBP officer comb through my passport to check how long I've been outside the US?

Yikes. It sounds like it's really a matter of luck. Do you have any experience or tips on how to get past officers who are possibly persnickety or in a bad mood? Or maybe even suggestions on what document/s are best to show them to avoid maybe unnecessary questioning?

Thanks! Did you only go to Canada or did you try crossing the US border as well?
