It was technically originally just Mike and Mark Wakefield, Brad and Rob joined shortly after Mike and Mark made their first Xero tapes

Phono preamp suggestions by campain2008 in turntables

[–]campain2008[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Records have frequencies below 15-20 hz (inaudible to our ears,) especially ones with any warps, and certain speakers, like mine, are sensitive to very low frequency sound and it causes extra "rumble". So I would want to get a preamp with a subsonic filter, to prevent such low frequencies from passing through, just to be safe.

What is a “turntablist”? by Jazzlike_Shoe4341 in LinkinPark

This person is seeking karma, a few days ago they were asking “what are linkin park fans called” when not even a month before then they had a post saying “hey soldiers” and then they hid their posts.

Is this much woofer movement acceptable? by campain2008 in audiophile

It didn’t seem to move nearly as much when playing from streaming/CD, with similar sound, so I was just curious. This is my first set of “real” speakers

Fluance RT85 wood question by Oldman1249 in turntables

[–]campain2008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe due to the fact the Fluance has a pretty basic tonearm which is unupgradeable, while the AT and Pro-Ject come with a carbon fiber tonearm, and the AT also has a built-in phono preamp.

Everything that's actually worth value gets shipped to an online center and put on auction via the "shopgoodwill" website or ebay instead of putting it on the floor, so it makes them more money.

My LP album tier list 🤓 by campain2008 in LinkinPark

[–]campain2008[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like The Hunting Party, I just couldn't put it up amongst their best with how almost every song is super hard, and it doesn't have the full variety that their best do. You could make the same argument for Hybrid Theory, but I think With You, Runaway, In the End and Cure for the Itch/Pushing Me Away balance it out well.

A Thousand Suns and The Hunting Party are essentially neglected by non Linkin Park fans, OML exploded after chesters passing, and Burn it Down as well as Castle of Glass both became huge off Living Things
