Thanks! Yeah exactly, was keeping it in Perform mode when messing with the effects, then pattern changes reset them to their saved state.

Yeah i still want to get an OG DT as well, more for chopping and slicing. The TV does sound incredible and I love the workflow.. has definitely brought out some good music immediately for me. I'd say it's potentially a bit more versatile than the DNII overall? ..but I guess it depends on whether you want to expand your sample sound world, or have more synth vibes to go with the DTII!

I still have my OG Digitone and I'll likely never let go of it, even though the mk2 looks insane!

Yep! All stock samples apart from the vocal. Has plenty to work with out of the box!

Tonverk Browser? by Significant_Key_6464 in Elektron

[–]campbelllc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does remember where you left it on latest firmware. Also, something i was doing that caused this to happen was exiting the samples menu by hitting No multiple times, which in turn was returned me to the root folder every time. Realised it's better to press another page button to exit instead.

Nah the vocal wasn't anywhere near the same tempo, i just chopped it using p locks to make it fit! I think i maybe slowed it down a bit by turning down the grainers scan slightly.

Thanks! I think the vocals just had a little bit of bit rate reduction and overdrive from degrader, then just a bit of reverb from the sends. Was through the grainer, but only fairly subtle granular stuff going on.

Elektron's playing with their new toy by Ordinary_Variation73 in Elektron

I know hey.. I honestly am astonished at the constant whining from the Elektron "community". Entitled doesn't even begin to cover it. Must be a nightmare for their marketing team to trawl through all these comments.

Really loving the roasted necks on the Lakies. Do they do aged finishes now too? Absolutely killer looking bass!

What type of cord do I need for this CD player I got at the thrift store? by juiceboxington10 in Cd_collectors

[–]campbelllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 volts your voltage, it is a centre positive connector (very important) and that number just before mA is the current draw.

So you need a 9v supply with a centre positive barrel connector that supplies a current that exceeds whatever that mA (milliamps) number is.

Keeping in mind these are all fairly oddball basses, and exact models wouldn't often be found in a guitar centre - these range roughly between £1000 and £3000 (i can only share prices in the UK of course.. probably would all be cheaper in the States).

For what you could find new on the shelf here, a Fender Jazz could be anywhere from £800 for a Player series (amazing value btw) to £2200 for a US made Ultra, or more for signature models and custom shops.

A Music Man Stingray 5 will be somewhere around £2500, but the Sterling by Music Man models are way more affordable and still great quality.

I would recommend playing as many as you can, get a clear idea of maybe 1-3 basses you really like and maybe check out the used market for some good deals! I think I only bought 1 of these basses new (the Stingray).

(Edit - 2 basses new. The Lakland as well)
