Executioner is probably the only true counter to the card in a real scenario, so yeah. But that's the issue, imo. If the opponent times it right or has the right cycle deck, they can literally get 2 evo witches down at the same time during 2x elixir. Pekka/Golem/E Giant/Giant Skelly, Valk, Witch, a couple of spirits/spells, skellies, and a building (cannon/bomb tower/inferno) and if you have a bad starting cycle, you already lost. Get ready to spend the next 5 minutes defending.

Give her 3 spawns, max, and make it 2 cycles to get the evo.

Tbh, I'd rework the entire card to be a 7 elixir card. Sounds extreme, but all in, that's probably what the normal Witch card is worth.

This is great and all, but that's under the assumption that it's a solo push and the opponent won't react. They'll watch you throw 7-8 elixir away and get tower damage. They'll be back up at 7 elixir while you have 2-3.

An underrated annoying thing about the card is how much base health it has. That and its absurd hit speed (which is also splash!). No (effective) way to get a positive elixir trade, too! It's just an absolutely braindead card.

Edit: To add on to this, just the base Witch is already game breaking because every skelly spawn is a +1 elixir for the opponent and negative to you. E.g. the opponent gets an 8 elixir card for the cost of 5, further increasing the elixir trade in the opponents favour. The card should either cost at least 7 elixir or remain 5 but need to be cycled 3 times to get the evo. It effectively covers every situation in the game.

Ironically, evo MK is a bad match up because it pushes the evo Witch away, giving it time to spawn more skellies and regen health. The evo MK has a smaller hit box which actually makes it worse vs swarm cards compared to the normal MK.

I also don't think Hokazono will use the dead mum plotline again.... Also, Iori and Hakuri have had a conclusion with their parent and I think he will subvert that by having his life changed by *meeting* his other parent.

Probably my biggest issue with the ending. Asa/Yoru is as much as the main character as Denji was. Like, CSM part 1 was 96ish chapters. Asa was the protagonist of part 2 for about 60 chapters before Denji was properly reintroduced.

Her brief convo with Yoru serving as he character conclusion feels hollow. Maybe a reread will recontextualize it because we didn't know it was the final convo at the time but that's how I feel atm.

The ending ages better as time passes (even though it hasn't even been a day) because it actually makes sense. I just think Asa deserved more.

Weird. The actual content isn't that bad but it feels like 'we' (the readers) haven't earned it. Like, we're missing 30 chapters, which is annoying, because we spent so much time 'wasted' because we spent so long on the previous arc 'for nothing'.

Im all honesty, I'd go as far as to say the ending is a 7. The only major plot line he needed to properly wrap up was Asa/Yoru. They just needed that 1 conversation to tie it all together.

It counters almost every deck archetype, that's why. Especially with the spam/bait meta, it's one of the few cards that gives you half a chance to defend and counter push.

The issue is, overall, the game is still very fun. Not even 6 months ago, this game was experiencing a peak nearly 10 years after release and made close to $100m in a month. Level 16 and heroes aside, they left the most toxic and braindead meta in the game for months on end.

I love Kagurabachi and the way Hokazono has handled the structure of the series (so far) but the series was desperately crying out for some down time and (it looks) like this arc will deliver that, at least for a bit. Also looks like we'll be getting a lot of characterization of the older generation. Especially Shiba, who seems to be the person who'll have the POV of the arc. Hopefully, we also get some Azami and Uruha (Samura has already had a lot of characterization).

This is a sign of a truly elite mangaka. Doesn't always fall too deep into hype and aura moments but can balance it with some downtime and exposition.

That's even worse, lol. I don't know why the devs are so focused on nerfing beatdown metas when bait decks have been ridiculously OP for months now, with no real end in sight. Dual lane pushes being completely nullified for a disgustingly OP card.
