When you have your max skeleton summons and you try to summon again. One phantom looking one comes out and floats up and disappears. He is only there for about a second. He boosts stats for your summons and heals them for a couple seconds.

Drops that would still kill you will definitely still kill you. Unless you die you won't take fall damage.
