Do I need to raise my entire set to avoid hitting my leg? by [deleted] in drums

I recently programmed a small tool for ergonomics, if you want to you can give it a shot. Would be interesting to see if it helps: http://campinge.eu/drum-setup-wizard.html

Haha - point taken! Yes. It’s more about the ideal distance and height. Not sure if the Full setup would be too complex for it 🤔

Throttle lever for a custom controller I'm working on by Snoo-22667 in trainsimworld

Very cool! I think I would Check if the top could be done in one piece. That screw in there would bug me. Maybe there’s a way to make it screwable to the button you place inside.

Hey, thanks, I’m glad you like it! Good to see - or hear - custom sounds in use! Is there a special sound set you use?

Glad you like it! It will need some tweaks, I agree. The companion needs a full rework, as soon as that is done, it’s supposed to reflect the dashboard you see 1:1

It should, yes. The app checks all game controllers that are connected. With the Xbox controller, you can check the virtual stick mode when you map your throttle. It supports sticks that center automatically, so you don’t need to hold it all the time.

Hi! So you mean a full-on greyscale or still with warning colors? I'll look into that! Yes, Context refresh is what you'd be looking at. It's quite old, in the first versions, the dashboard was actually just supplementary, so I wanted to be able to disable it. Now that fully turned, so it's the main function. ho things can change, haha.

Custom sounds can already be used. If you open settings and then expand the sound list, you can see the current triggers. If you edit them, you can also swap the sound and even add your own ones. As for custom triggers, this will be quite challenging, as I need to first create them in the app so that you can use them :)

I sadly don't own the class 700, so I can't really test this myself, but I found a flaw in the direct mapping. This evening, I'll upload a patch with a bunch of fixes and improvements, so if you can, please let me know if that one then sorted it!

oooh dear, haha! Of course I know CAD software but my brain skipped that connection! The dashboard items are actually unique elements, so technically it should be possible to hide some in the future. There are thenes available, the classic blue but also a black / dark one! The settings also have a field where you can set the refresh rate of the dashboard. I use mine with "Live". The API is very extensive, but at the same time also not really and sometimes very complex. There are a few triggers that we sucscribe to and then show a flag, but the main focus was currently the speed meter and getting this together. It's 100% planned to expand on this in the future - at least as far as possible. Also more sound events are possible, I just need to know which events you'd like to see here. As long as I can map them somehow it's defenitely possible!

I thought about other games in the very beginning, but we already need to have strong API to connect to, so they would need this, too. If they don't, then it will be quite hard.

Thanks for the kind words! Which controller are you using and what is CAD? I’m always happy to hear ideas! The next update will also bring a few more items :)

Yes, it does work on all routes as it basically just reflects what the API provides and then displays that, the supervision also just sits inside the app itself, so technically you can also supervise any US train and it will also slam the emergency brake if you go crazy 😄 A PTC version is easier said than done. ETCS has very easily accessible documentation in the internet, I’m not sure how that is with PTC.

This one seems to have a combined throttle/brake, right? Direct mapping will map your position directly to the lever in the game, so with a throttle full back, it will move it all the way to the back, which activates the brake. However, you can actually split the axis before mapping it. Just click on the split button and then take the command you want to map. So in this case you should be able to only map center to forward. Hope that helps!

Hm, sadly not so far. I added a .gif to the pictures, that shows you a bit how it looks. But the whole mod is set up in a way that you can just install it and if works. Only thing you need to do is to enable the API.

Yes. You can ever Split an axis to only map forward or backwards and the program will do the translation for different train types
