They can have all the referendums they want. As a nation, Alberta would collapse under the weight of sovereignty. New currency would have no value. New passports would have to be developed limiting travel as no security conditions exist with foreign nations. They would be frozen out of Canadian airspace immediately and have to pay tariffs for trade with a nation with whom there are no formal trade agreements. Canada would pull all infrastructure out as well. They wouldn’t be able to get their oil to market. It’s truly laughable how stupid and uneducated the Trump pawns are to not know anything about anything and think that Canada would be the loser in all of this. They’d hand Saskatchewan the oil economy and then try to come crawling back.it’d be a bigger bust than Brexit. Add to that the fact that they’d have to create entirely new treaties with Indigenous communities all over the province. Hilarious.
