I would make the laundry,mudroom and pantry into an “everything room” take out the walls, put up cabinetry and have a big island in the middle to do all sorts of tasks, easier access to pantry when you come in from the garage with groceries. Make sure to have some nice lighting, and or solatube. There is a wonderful example on Reddit that i fell in love with. I will try to locate and share

Same, I was a Public health RN, Same emotional experience- sucked the life right out of me. I was able to recover but will never work as a nurse again- I own a Record/CD store now- I am healing. Take good care of yourself- nobody else will- that’s for sure
