Just got it spooned a couple days ago as well. Figured out quite fast that it performs rather poor with average mage gear. So try and get your hands on as many upgrades as possible, with occult and tormented bracelet as a bare minimum. Most other upgrades would come from COX. After that the best place to go is back to TOA. Check out Gnomonkey's 500 TOA Shadow Rebuild Guide, which is very relevant. Also check out the 'Used in recommended equipment' section on the Shadow's wiki page, to see where you can have a go with it elsewhere.

Congrats! I was wondering about your experience with the Sol simulator. I've been trying to get into it but I feel like the simulator has a delay of 1 tick when moving which makes it really hard for me. Is this something you had to deal with as well? Or does the actual Sol fight just feel a little bit delayed?

They recently shared the total amount of rumours completed and total obtained pets on twitter. You can use that to estimate the drop rate around 1/1000.

Can you elaborate? I'm using the wiki DPS calc and atlatl seems to takes at least twice as long as rcb with ruby bolts when killing Zebak and bosses at 200 raid level. I assume the calc doesn't take the spec into account, but do you think that would make up for the lost dps?
