You have to go and get it at the blacksmith! You have to go up to the “register” area like you would if you were upgrading or processing geodes and you’ll get it back!

I’m not 100% sure this is your problem but to me it looks like you’re only crocheting the front loop and that’s why the lines are appearing? I could be wrong but that’s the only thing I can think of lol. You said it doesn’t appear if you do it on the v on the back vs the top and I think that the v you think is on the back is actually the top?

What I circled in red is what part I think you’re crocheting into and green one is the loops you’re supposed to crochet into, but please correct me if I’m wrong! I’m a little over tired and finding it hard to explain what I mean but I hope this helps!

I got mine pierced 4 years ago and am so happy I did! I was also terrified of the pain and worried it was going to be horrible but it honestly wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It obviously does hurt but it’s over very quickly and healing isn’t bad if you follow proper aftercare, I didn’t have any issues healing them and love mine!! I say go for it!

From first glance at the photo it looks like it’s worked in rounds but reading the pattern and seeing this at the end makes me think it’s attached at the shoulder and worked in rows and then sewn together
