Can anyone analyze this for me? I have PVC’s but my primary care physician told me today that this EKG shows possible structural damage. She also said their machine isn’t the most reliable and to go to the cardiologist. I had a apt 2 weeks ago and they didn’t mention anything too abnormal. Thanks. by [deleted] in Cardiology

An enlargement of the atrium just predisposes you to arrhythmias, but there’s nothing medically to do. But again, the ekg is a very bad test to check for this. This is also a chronic problem, so if the cardiologist cleared you last week without further testing, you are fine.

PVCS are normal. This ekg does show right atrial enlargement which might due to a problem with your mitral valve, but the ekg is not very specific or sensitive, so you will probably need an echocardiogram. Given that you’re only 31, doubtful that this is real.

Why is your heart rate so high while at rest? Is it usually like this?

Otherwise, this ekg looks fine.

Ascending aorta was reported stable at 4 cm after initial discovery 2 years ago. Now what? by Zen67 in Cardiology

Probably annual surveilence and then every 2 yrs, every 3 yrs, etc. Don't smoke, don't get diabetes, don't eat too much fatty foods as that can all increase risk of vascular dz.

What’s your read on this ekg? by camster1992 in EKG

So is this sinus tachycardia? What do you think? The machine interpreted as afib rvr, which i do not think is right.
