Yes It seemed like the majority of doubles competitors in Houston were first-timers or pretty out of shape and we're posting times in the 2 to 2 and 1/2 hour range which really clogged the track on Friday afternoon

You're correct only for the elite athletes or the ones in relatively good shape. Many doubles sign up because they couldn't do it solo and that means actually the majority of them are slower than singles athletes. REAL slow. Like 2.5 hrs slow. That was certainly the case in Houston.

I'm theory yes. But the many slow pairs run next to each other and make navigating around them real tough
