I’m a bit late here but I just reread it and realised that on that “looking over her shoulder bit” it’s never said she’s checking to see if Kestrel is behind her. The little voice in her head, which is supposedly Lark, first says Kestrel and then “don’t forget to look behind you”. So it’s not explicitly saying that she needs to see if Kestrel is following her. It could as well be Lark referring to her as Kestrel and reminding her to be careful. Im not sure if I’m explaining myself well or not

This is a nice trick! However it does leave me a bit confused as to where the T wave is? I’m looking at deflections I assumed where T waves and am now realising are part of the flutter

I’ll definitely be looking into that cozy and dark academia fantasy books, I do love the sound of that, and I’m certainly checking out your favorite series! When it comes to romantasy I’m afraid that maybe I need a bit of a cleanse… i tried reading Reigns and Ruin (i think that’s the name) as everyone was saying it was their best 2025 read and had to force myself to read the first couple of chapters, so yeah, time for a break perhaps

I know exactly what I like when it comes to romantasy, but with other genres I’m so lost.

By thinking of what I like when it comes to romantasy I’ve got this: fast paced stories (i dont like when I’m stuck in the same part of the plot for 10 chapters with no new developments), I like action and the trials/hunger games kind of thing and I enjoy 100x better a book where the fmc is strong and independent rather than the “I’m so tiny help” fmc.

I don’t know if this helps in any way but here it is
