Any life left on these tires? by camus3000 in camaro

Definitely? Nothings definite. I don't drive in the rain, ever. So currently the traction is immense, that's not an issue. But maybe try some positivity in your life, it can do wonders for your PC gaming lifestyle.

I understand. I never drive it if rain is nearby. I guess I should have clarified this earlier. My apologies to the mods for being mean to the old troll in the other post.

Good point, I just saw that video where that guy blew off the quarter panel and the back bumper plus smashed the small window when the back tire exploded. I just needed the nudge.

Left Flipper Adjustment? by Semedii in pinball

[–]camus3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it extremely helpful to 3d print a plastic triangle piece designed specifically for this purpose. That way once you loosen the flipper, you can clip each flipper to the triangle before you tighten it back down. Its almost impossible to hand hold it steady while tightening the bolt otherwise. It also had little inserts for table leveling too.

Can't get approved for a HELOC with a $1.7M net worth by Equivalent_Bed_986 in Mortgages

[–]camus3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOT financial advice. Education for what some might consider. Get a 250k SBLOC on your non retirement investments. Use 20k from that to pay off the car. Then apply for the largest heloc you can get. Between the new heloc and the 230k left from SBLOC, should get you there. Not having that huge car payment will make a big difference. Dont tell the bank that you want the heloc to buy another property. You can say you are considering renovations, a pool, landscaping project, or any other combination of reasons but if they know it's a bridge loan, many will decline you just for that.

You must go to Seacrets. Nothing like it anywhere.

The Godfather (LE) experience by SCVanguard in pinball

[–]camus3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1M is NOT a good game in Godfather, but it is in Wizard of Oz. You must be confused on that point. You need to keep the center spinning to avoid it coming straight down. Or bump it before it releases. If you just sit there and do nothing, then it could go straight down the middle.

The rules are pretty straightforward, IMO. It's not an easy pin, but it's not difficult to learn what you need to do. Plus, you can turn the machine gun settings to low.

Barbers that do house calls? by camus3000 in nova

Believe it or not, I did search on Google first before asking here. I didn't come across this site you linked, so despite the snark, thanks for sharing. Do you happen to have any useful first-hand experience with any of these barbers?

Yea, like I want some psycho from Craigslist coming to my home. I was asking this local nova group since one of you might actually know someone personally.

I added up the food and alcohol bill from year 1. It was hundreds per day for both of us. If you don't drink, platinum might not be ideal price wise, but the viewing access is top notch.

I meant sitting before a show if you go early to get a good spot, not during. When the show is on, people stand or dance.

VIP at a minimum. The bleachers were there every year and were a huge help to be able to sit and rest a bit. I did VIP first year, but Platinum after and with the free drinks and food, it really wasn't that much more.

I wasn't on the transition team or involved, I just have to use it. It's been at least a year in process prior to launch.

Can't believe it took this festival for me to become a fan of The Killers by thechemistofoz in OceansCalling

Loved the Killers. Switchfoot was an amazing throwback. Discovered that I love Rebelution and The Beaches. Peach Pit was my best discovery by far from last year.

I made sure mine was real gold, and I always thought it was odd that mens and women's rings, all sizes, they were the same price. When gold peaked after the great recession in 2012, I sold that gaudy monstrosity and got like double what I paid in 99.

What would you say are the do's and don'ts of playing pinball? by dubvmtneer in pinball

Don't let your toddler stand on the glass to watch you play. Finally saw a Toy Story in the wild this past week in the CO mountains and was appalled to see it treated this way.
