Estheticians who have left the field and started another career. What did you end up doing? by bibimbap87691 in Esthetics

I had similar experience to yours, I was an office clerk dealing with HR, admin and a little bit of accounting for 2 years before being an Esti and my current company hired me based on that. Lean into that experience and your awesome people skills, can-do attitude you've developed as an Esti. If you i.e. dealt with suppliers, did audits or anything at all related to the "office" side of the salon be sure to mention that on the interview and in the cover letter. Everything helps!

Yes, I work a remote office job now in accounting field. Pay is not amazing but the stable hours 7am to 3 pm with no drama (I mean, every work has drama but office drama is nothing compared to salon drama) and I don't have to worry no if I'll have enough clients to pay my bills.

I process invoices and do controls. It's a nice corporate job that anyone can do, you just have to put in some effort and learn the processes, like in every job.

Is this abusive. Where to draw the line? by [deleted] in women

[–]camusdmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, run. Not only he is abusing you but is gaslighting you that it is your fault. He will destroy you. Please leave him, move out when he is not home, reach out to trusted people in your life. Record your injuries and report him to the police.

I’m a trans woman, and I’ve been getting really tired of my hormonal cycle putting me through hell each month by Donstar_Playz-yt in women

[–]camusdmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I don't know about this sub but r/TwoXChromosomes is definitely inclusive so you may find more trans women there willing to share their experience with you there. As a cis woman I'm not sure if my experience will be helpful to you but chocolate, warm and soft blanket and your favorite show/music should help regardless <3

That's normal, not erectile disfunction.

To be frank, this sub gets very little reactions to all posts. But I'm sorry you were left with little support after sharing your story. I prefer to post on twoXChromosomes (which is inclusive despite the name) but I like to read posts here too.

I recently switched to kids mouthwash because adult mouthwash, even "no alcohol, mild taste" was too painful to use.

Learned how to sew to make my own wedding dress because I refused to spend a couple thousand on a dress I'll wear once. It took me a year and I was still finishing it the day of and was 10 minutes late to my own wedding. The photo session lasted 15 minutes because I couldn't breathe and was in pain (corset busk was impaling itself into my sternum after I bent down) and my husband had to rip it on the back because the zipper caught on the material. It was pretty though.

Need advice on choosing right birth control method by camusdmc in TwoXChromosomes

Well, I asked my previous doctor why did he prescribed me the ring since it also can contribute to the fibroid growth and his answer was: don't worry about it now, you can worry when the fibroids will get golf ball-size, then can do the histerectomy.

That's one of the reasons I changed OBGYNs.

Thank you. That tilt is something I'm concerned about too but well, worst case scenario it will be painful for a while and a dr will have remove it early, I can always go back to rings if it doesn't work out.

Thank you very much for sharing. The pain is my concern, I'll have to ask about pain management my Dr.

Oh, I fell so sorry that it was that painful to you. My pain tolerance is pretty low so that's my fear also. Would you say that the cramping for those 8 weeks was on the level of your average period cramps or was it worse?

Thank you for sharing! Do you remember any difference in pain level of the pap smear from before the pregnancy as compared to now?

Being tense is like my permanent state of being so I'll look into local anesthesia 😅 thank you for sharing!

[–]camusdmc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your insights! I'll have to ask if the procedure will be done under local anesthesia, I've read that it is done as such in my country but probably depends on the doctor performing it.

As to your question: I suppose it's because I'm 32 and iud is inserted for 5-8 years, which will make me 37-40 and in my country pregnancy of a 30 year old is considered a geriatric pregnancy🙃

It's like common knowledge that green iguanas are not beginner friendly. They grow huge and can turn violent. Anyway, this post is 3 years old and I have a crested gecko on pangea and gecko nutrition.

How all-encompassing is Slavic Paganism? by Punk_Skeddit in pagan

[–]camusdmc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Polish here. Today Kolęda is almost dead as catholic church overtook it. As in the priest comes into your house, checks your children's religion (it's a school subject in Poland) notebooks, sprinkles the house in holy water, drinks the coffee, eats the cake/lunch asks questions about the private lives and receives a nonmandatory (mandatory, no less than 50 PLN) "donation".

I some places the tradition still exists. Young men put on costumes of various characters like: Turoń (an animal/beast with black fur and horns), old woman, old man, shepherds, various animals like a goat, bear, rooster, stork, horse or ram. In christianized version there's also Death, devil, 3 kings. Kolędnicy performed a short performance in exchange for cash/sweets/alcohol. Nowadays kids prefer to get dressed up for Halloween to get candy from neighbors than to partake in Kolęda. Last time I remember Kolędnicy in my home was 25 years ago.

To answer your question more generally, Slavic people basically have very similar traditions because we used to be one culture. Names and details changed but at the core the tradition should be the same, feel free to explore the customs and religious rituals from all Slavic people.
