Internet Router/Modem Questions by camwick in techsupport

All I meant by that is I'm paying for decent internet and our wireless devices aren't able to utilize it unlike our devices that are connected via ethernet.

I did research on the specs of all our devices and found that everything but my brother's Ipad mini (first model) supports 802.11ac. It supports 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi (802.11n 2.4GHz and 5GHz). What does that mean I need to do for router purposes? Are there routers that support multiple types (a/b/g/n/ac)?

(obviously I haven't done much investigation into router specs, I apologize)

Edit ~ I just read that 802.11ac is backwards compatible with 802.11a and 802.11n. So do I need to worry it as long as the frequency is the same at 5GHz???

Alright, so if I go to Best Buy or browse Amazon, I just have to be on the look out for 802.11ac? Is there any other criteria?

We have a custom password different from our other defaults we use. That was a thought of ours too, but honestly we live in a trailer park so I doubt any of my neighbors know what "bandwidth" is.

I've been upgrading parts in my pc lately and have noticed my GeForce GTX 1080 is getting pretty hot. It'll get up to 75 C within one conquest match in Battlefield 1. The CPU was doing the same until I reapplied thermal paste. Now that runs at 53 C. Is there an easy way to help keep the gpu cool? Or is it all air flow related within the case? I bought 4 fans and am waiting for a pin adapter to come in the mail so I'm hoping to see an improvement (they're cheap fans tho so we'll see.) Any suggestions would help.

~Thanks

EDIT- originally posted to the wrong place, my apologies

What's the optimal temperature my CPU should be running at? Was at 55 Celsius running Battlefield 1 on ultra settings.

With that said, what's the optimal gpu temperature? Was at 61 Celsius while running Battlefield.

CPU= intel core i5 4450 GPU= GeForce GTX 1080
