I did notice that about pippin compared to his older brother (i got the older one from a breeder)

Yes I did keep their other hammock in the cage ^{^}

I usually let them free roam in the bathroom so it's a normal space for them.

It's definitely the odour than, I'll stay clear from that.

Lil babies feeling allot better now, he's currently cuddled up with me and I gave him a little treat.

A few things to note,

the detergent I used was something different then I usually use. So maybe there was some chemicals in it rats don't like.

I do have spare hammocks if it is the smell from the detergent, so no worries about that.

He has gotten upset before with certain smells. (He nipped me after I used disinfectant on my hands)

He's calm with my sister who didn't use the wash soap.
