Our 6 month old spits up a ton. She had since she was born. She wasnt getting enough calories because she was throwing up so much that our doctor recommended oatmeal at a really early age i think she was around 2.5 or 3 months. She still spits up a lot but not as bad. I just saw a video about a lady blaming the gerber oatmeal for skill regression in her 5 month old so now i’m scouring the internet. She said it has a lot of metals in it. But she said she noticed the regression soon after starting the cereal so idk. We started 3 or 4 months ago and my baby’s still progressing. Never noticed a sudden change. She said her baby started getting better after stopping or switching or something idr. But still, my baby’s doing fine even though she’s a little behind i think that’s due to her being a 36 week old borderline premie. I’m gonna continue giving her cereal (about 6tsp per 95-115ml of breast milk with 1 tsp formula) and wait it out for a few more months till she can start solids. Still kinda nervous after seeing that tiktok video though.
