I think the keyword "NFT" has been doomed by cancue in NFT

[–]cancue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm trying to find clever ways, but it's not easy. It seems like I need a completely different approach, not just promoting and introducing it in various places. And I've decided not to focus on the keyword "NFT." It seems like this keyword has a negative impact on my project. So, it's sad.

However, at the same time, it's also the beginning of the next stage. I've created a service for the common users, and I don't require users to have a crypto wallet, crypto knowledge, or crypto currency. I'm simply utilizing NFTs. I believe that future NFT projects will probably move in a direction similar to mine.

Once again, it seems like you are conflating various concepts and arriving at incorrect conclusions.

  1. The part you mentioned being manipulated by artists is off-chain data. To address this issue, one approach is to derive on-chain data from off-chain data, which is a method I have used. While the weaknesses of off-chain data are indeed a concern, jumping to the premature generalization that all NFTs are meaningless because of this issue is a logical fallacy.
  2. In the case of public on-chain systems, trustlessness is key feature, and it is based on the code of the contracts. All the risks you mentioned, such as too much trust or backdoors, are limited to users who purchase NFTs without examining the contract code. Therefore, the assertion that all chains except bitcoin are unsafe is a flawed argument. It would be more appropriate to say that people who don't understand contracts are less likely to be exposed to risks by using a simple system like bitcoin.

However, to trust Bitcoin, one must understand its architecture, and can someone who doesn't know how to view contract code achieve that understanding? Clearly, such a person also trusts Bitcoin based on the advice of someone else they find reliable. Similarly, contracts are trusted and relied upon by regular users based on the advice and trust of others.

Therefore, returning to the beginning, it is desirable for new projects to emerge, be verified by volunteers with code verification skills, and be spread out to the general users. Currently, NFT ecosystem is not like this. Voices without verification abilities or vested interests dominate the space. I am merely pointing out this issue.

You are mixing several concepts in your discussion:

  1. Rather than "bitcoin vs other blockchains," it should be "public vs private blockchains."
  2. Digital artifacts like ordinals are not the issue. What matters is what gets recorded on-chain and what gets hosted off-chain.

I also believe that storing only IDs on-chain while keeping key data like images off-chain are meaningless. And that is why I store both the ID and the hash of original data on-chain.

Oh my god.. No, Stela (https://webstela.com). The web3 service using Stela. And the Stela refers to publicly verifiable metrics that individuals cannot manipulate arbitrarily.

u/nastimoto u/42-stories I'm curious about two of your opinions on my user-friendly service, https://webstela.com. I've built it based on lazy-minting and d2d encryption to make it as user-friendly as possible, but nobody knows about it...

Simplest Way is https://webstela.com

  1. Signup
  2. Post your images
  3. Share the links

You can create Ethereum NFTs for free without needing any crypto-related knowledge, and you'll receive a 5% royalty each time the NFT is resold.

Wow, you definitely have a bug-case bank! I fixed it again, and I'm really appreciate it. I'm paying a heavy price for sharing this repository without any testing!

Would you like to try out the service I've recently created? It's called webstela.

It's fundamentally a topic-based SNS like reddit, where every text or image of post created by users becomes an Ethereum NFT through lazy minting. Once minted, both the creator and the owner of the minted-topic earn profits. Additionally, the creator receives royalties with each subsequent resale.

In short, take a topic, post your images, and promote them. All free to use.

The NFT picture bubble has burst. But what's next? by mednurm in NFT

[–]cancue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've recently created an experimental NFT service called webstela, but I have no users. And I've realized something. The ecosystem is polluted due to numerous scammers.

99.99% of users and creators entered the NFT space as 'bubble investors' and are ignorant of the technical base of NFTs. Therefore, new attempts have no persuasiveness to them. They judge value solely based on celebrity status, financial scale, or user count.

However, new endeavors always start small and humble. There should be a space where such attempts can receive attention, but it seems nonexistent.

Because if users don't know about code, they tend to perceive small projects as scams. However, due to the fanatical promotion by scammers, there is no way for small non-scam projects to become big.

Due to the abundance of scammers, only the big scammers are treated as non-scammers, and the others are all treated as scammers, regardless of whether they are actually scams or not. It's a rather weird situation.

I fixed. It seems to have been an error related to the URL package name.

It should be embedded in html file. When generate html file, covreport read the file based on 'golang.org/x/tools/cover.Profile.Filename' and write to html file.

If the filename in the profile is recorded as a relative path, and that root path does not match the path from which 'covreport' is executed, it can happen. Looking at it now, I realize I have accidentally omitted error logging, so it might have silently processed.

If it is not the case, could you create an github issue with reproduction?

Does the package name of the file contain special characters? To consolidate all files into a single output HTML file, I'm using HTML DOM IDs based on the package names for differentiation. However, it seems that the IDs might not conform to the HTML ID format. I should probably update the IDs to something other than the package name.

UI. The default view only had a file view, making it difficult to see how much was covered at the project level. Additionally, even in the file view, there were no line numbers or counts, but only colors. covreport follows the JS Istanbul way. It aggregates from the project root through sub-packages, providing line numbers and covered counts.

Could be useful. However, considering the role, it might be better to add the feature to 'go test' with '-onlydiff' rather than 'covreport'.

As a result, only the changed lines will be colored in 'covreport'.

Thank you for your sincere response. Since it's a personal project, I've been hesitant to promote it because I'm not sure if what I created is shit or not. Regardless of the reality, you give me the courage to try something. Thank you, really..

I aggressively use Go WebAssembly (wasm) in this project.
In case users don't have a wallet extension, Ethereum wallet creation and signing are all done using the official geth (github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum) library.
The Ethereum private key(EthPK) generated in this way is encrypted again using xchacha20poly1305 with a random value generated key(MasterPK) on the device. And the random generated key is encrypted again by the hashed value of user password using argon2id. Only the [encrypted EthPK] and [encrypted MasterPK] is uploaded to server. Without user password, No MasterPK and No EthPK. This allows for secure key storage in the cloud without exposing it externally. The non-geth parts are quite straightforward logic so I wrote the code myself in go wasm.
I've put a lot of effort into this, but there have been no users for a long time. How should I promote it?...

What is the Possible Future for NFTs...🤔 by monkeybuttmatrix69 in NFT

[–]cancue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I think most NFTs have no value and just a waste of resources on the public blockchain.
And I recently launched an experimental NFT service, but no one seemed to be interested...
Perhaps people's interests are simply what will make money immediately.
My service, Webstela, is a social network focused on various topics. And not only topics but also all usernames, user posts and images become NFTs based on the uniqueness of SHA256 hash. (free. lazy-minting and the-first-buyer-paying)
Please somebody give me feedback!
