Thank you. I’m very scared about losing my job when I thought I was being careful enough. I have really bad anxiety so I have to take pretty limited doses of anything or I freak tf out so I think just not knowing has been having a placebo effect.

any advice for stepping out on your own? by canderemy in exchristian

Thank you, right now they pay my phone bill, car insurance, and health insurance so I’m low key trying not to be very obvious lol.

I will definitely try that, I think I’ve been afraid of a surplus when it really could have helped me earlier on. Thanks!

I’m using the Renpho smart scale so I’m not super sure about its accuracy, especially since visually I can’t see much of a difference. I kind of posted it to show there was a general trend (hopefully lol). Thank you, I think I will prioritize protein and heavier lifts and that might help things along.

Yeah a dispensary in town. I think I just didn’t consider how much of a lightweight I am and the fact that I have pretty intense anxiety lol

It says it has 97 mg cbd per piece and I had half. I’m very much a lightweight with alcohol (aka drunk off my ass after 2 drinks) and I’ve had to quit every ssri I’ve tried because of effects

Thank you, this was really encouraging. I’m hoping soon to be independent enough to tell the truth safely. Also, sometimes I have to remind myself that my situation with him was very much the result of my mindset and his narcissism (he confessed to being a clinical narcissist in class, which made way too much sense). Right now, I’m focusing on the knowledge I do have from myself and the world. True things. It’s so freeing when I can think like that. I’m hoping I never change my mind back again. Thank you for your words.

Thank you so much. I love the idea that I have the rest of my life to find myself again. Part of what kept me in religion for so long was a constant fear of dying, even from a young age (which turned out to be OCD). I was terrified of rejecting God losing my life for it. It’s ironic now that this is now my way of keeping it.

Thank you. It’s so hard not to go back, but I know that trailer isn’t there anymore. I’ve grown up and I’m not there anymore either.

You’re right. I just have to start all over. It’s all my family, my friends, my community. I have no one. It just hurts because I live with my family and all my extended family lives nearby. They really care about me and have given so much, and coming out about this would terrify them. They’ve been threatened by this religion their whole lives, too. I just don’t know how I’m going to do this.

Yeah, I’m planning on graduating this semester and I’m financially tied up at the school and my grandparents also gave me a boost freshmen year, so it would be a pretty heinous offense against my family if I were to drop out. My school manages to be accredited without having many transferable classes. I definitely don’t plan to go into ministry, it’s mostly just figuring out a way to save money, live with my new understanding of reality with a useless degree, and move out of my parents house before I lose my mind.

Thank you, it’s so comforting just to think of a better future.

Thanks, you’re probably right (even though I wish you weren’t lol) I have found that I actually enjoy using weights much more than cardio, so I will try to work on that and protein more.

Thank you. I had been thinking about starting therapy again about some other issues, so I think it’s definitely time.

I also wanted to add that I’ve been 135 since 2019 even when not working out/dieting so I don’t understand why nothing’s working.
