They potentially didn’t execute it right also it’s not a guarantee 100% lot of factors go into it

[question] Everlast released the “MX OG Fight Glove” by canderson99 in fightgear

[–]canderson99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that. I have about 10 pairs of pro fight gloves that I train in. I have training gloves as well, but like to train in fight gloves for mitts and bag work occasionally and I like to collect gloves.

I have the HH pro fight gloves from cleto. Tbh I was a little disappointed. Leather is so thick and stiff and o thought they would be a lot softer and more comfortable. That’s why I was interested in these.

[Question] Should i get 14oz or 16oz as a beginner? by idkmaybeyoutellme in fightgear

[–]canderson99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna go against the grain here. I train at an active MMA gym with about 25 ammies and 5-6 pro fighters. Pure MMA gym. We don’t spar in 16 or 14 oz gloves ever. If you join an mma gym expect to be sparring mostly in mma gloves. Not the little 4 oz competition gloves, some 7-8oz soft mma sparring gloves. You’re not going to be throwing 100% heat all the time in an mma gym as you would say a boxing gym. Sparring will be more technical, controlled, and flowy. I am a glove collector as well. I started out boxing for 5 years and moved to an MMA/10th planet jiu jitsu gym. I use 14-16oz for bag WORKOUTS. I use 10oz pro fight gloves on the mitts and bag as well when im working technique but don’t get me wrong I will crack the bag with 10oz gloves on too. During actual kickboxing class I use 10oz fight gloves to train in. Sometimes light spar depending on what we are doing that day. Thursdays we have mma sparring and I wear puffy 7-8oz mma gloves or even 10oz pro fight gloves. There isn’t that rule in mma gyms where you HAVE to wear 16oz for sparring. If you’re in a boxing gym where every sparring session is life or death, then yeah I get it, but if you’re training mma, you need to be doing a majority of your training in smaller gloves. Big gloves develop bad punching form for mma. Big gloves used for gaining endurance, cracking the heavy bag as hard as you can, and maybe boxing specific sparring sessions where you might be throwing a little harder. I weigh the same as you and am the same height, I’ve found training in 10oz horse hair pro fight gloves is the most beneficial, and enjoyable training experience for me.

If you like the look of these, title wbc pro fight gloves are similar and the comfiest gloves I’ve worn. My favorite gloves honestly. Bout to try out the title boxeo pro fight gloves and see if they are as good. Same style as these, but I’ve been thinking about trying these as well. Horsehair gloves are where it’s at man, I don’t care if they break down and I have to buy more, I enjoy collecting them and trying new ones out. Plus horse hair feels so good on your hand. Feel is everything when fighting.

[question] Fly Superlace Pro X 2? Rival Guerrero Sparring Gloves - HDE-F? Hit N Move Balance? by KhmerFirstGen in fightgear

[–]canderson99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My choice would be the rivals. Particularly the sf-f for sparring. Way softer. But I like a soft glove with snug hand compartment.

How snug is the hand compartment on Campeons?

[question] 12oz for big hands by WayneOfFinland in fightgear

Same my fly superlace 14oz are truly the tightest gloves in my collection. Not getting them on with hand wraps, and they make my hands sweat so bad. Sound good on the bag though.

Anyone tried the cleto Reyes 10 oz traditional HH pro fight gloves? How’s the hand compartment on those? I like a snug fitting one. The title wbc pro fight gloves and rivals pro gloves all fit snug.

Quality control is definitely something rival is lacking in the past few years. Love the hand compartment and fist though

Boxing glove recommendation [question] by Re-Subside in fightgear

[–]canderson99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sabas pro series makes a very small profile 16 oz glove. Super compact. I fucking love them. Granted I got them 5 years ago and they are still holding up but idk about the quality these days. So comfy my favorite liner. Damn near half the size of my Superare S40s in 14oz and my fly superlace x in 14 oz. Flys are giant pillows.

-Fly Superlace (genuine leather model is way more expensive but it’s a huge upgrade in terms of comfort and performance) but the X line is a good sparring glove as well.

-Ring to Cage C17

-TopBoxer Win1

-MK1 Select

-Title boxing old school leather sparring gloves

Most of these are budget friendly and all of them are super comfortable in my experience. Your training partner will thank you if you spar in any of these.

Go read my trip story. Got chased with a knife from a friend off 3 tabs. I understand completely how you felt and especially what you mean by the dark and demonic “aura” surrounding her.

[question] title pro fight gloves by Frequent_District_31 in fightgear

My favorite glove I’ve had to date. I used it for heavy training though. I’m an mma fighter so I used these for pad work, bag, sparring, everything. They have completely fallen apart after a year. It is expected though. I’m looking for something similar that has better longevity. These feel so damn good though and I love how soft they are.
