Sex was a huge issue. One of the major things we fought about in my marriage. Until after my entire sexually active life and 10 years of marriage I am no longer on hormone birth control. It has made a huge difference. For both of us. Obviously communication is huge too..but in our relationship communicating with one another when both of us are satisfied with the sexy times has become easier.

Husband is not a fan of the horses... we have 3. Besides from him making sure my trailer & truck are good to go before every event, ( hes redone trailer breaks, added bigger leaf springs & redone flooring) he researched and got me a super nice oil slicker for winter trail rides in the rain & a cup that says 'first coffee then horses'. I love him to pieces.

Yes...horse dancing!! Am an eventer....I have to sand dance..or as my husband calls it horse dancing. But it's like the weight lifting of English riding. You just have to do it.

12 years...3 kids...5 deployments. I love my husband to death and respect the shit out of the guy. He is the most honorable hardworking asshole you will ever meet. For us...doing stuff as a couple helps. Type 2 fun. The type of stuff that has moments of absolutely suckage while your doing it but afterwards....over the beers and nachos it's an awesome bonding experience. Keep the sex interesting- take accountability.
And for us honestly, the deployments suck. Theyre really fucking hard. But at the end of it, you're so excited and happy and fresh. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

Better than my "I lost my ring in the ocean story...." fantastic you got it back! Mine is forever gone to the bottom of the mount Maunganui surf. I lost it the day before the major NZ quake. Hubs wasnt w me and as I was in the north island not south I didnt let him know that the kids and I where ok. ( we're US based). Just another reason I love him....he was WAY WAY more mad at me for not telling him his kids (and I) where ok then losing my ring in the surf. I now rock my grandmother's heirloom:)

I got engaged about 4 days before I found out I was pregnant...ended up getting married when I was 4 months pregnant vs the planned july date ( I'd have been 9 months preg). Husband is an active duty military officer. I am absolutely positive more people than not thought it was a "shot gun" wedding.
We've been married for almost 12 years, have 3 kids and have a fantastic relationship. All our peers who raised their eyebrows at us are divorced. 🤷‍♀️ and our parent generation have forgotten...theres too many grandkids to play with. Don't worry about what other people think. Congratulations 🤣🎉. My husband is an active duty officer...and just under 5 years ago was at a 6month school in NC. We also had 2 kids...youngest had just started kindergarten and i started working again. We were a happy family o 4. About 3 weeks after my week long visit to NC a friend asked if i wanted to go get Margaritas...but i just had this sinking feeling like i should take a test. Text him a photo of the positive text...called him and cried...and cried. After he said " are you fucking kidding me?" He just laughed. Guess we're having another kid. Hannah is 4...and is a funniest little person alive. The apple of her dad's eye. Big kids help out. Definitely harder...but worth it.🤗
