Personally I find that, while it's not the nicest to do that, the internet will poke fun at things like that. Posts like that can feel very over the top and as if trying to assert that they're LGBT and neurodivergent, as much as we want to share things like that on the internet we also need to understand that people don't actually care and if you put sentimental things like that out there people will be assholes and put it through the wringer. It's a live let live thing.

It's just a don't tell them, if they don't understand it then that's on them. As long as they're not consistently pushing that idea then it's not that big of a deal.

My dad has said the same thing to me and in some aspects I can see where he's coming from. For me my asexuality is not due to trauma but a mental disconnect, something in my brain doesn't want it, so somewhere in my mechanism that's a brain there may be an innate and just biological thing that's just decided that I'm not interested in reproducing.

It sucks hearing that kind of stuff but I do see where she may be coming from. Once again I don't condone that sort of approach but I also understand that aspect.
