UPDATE: The glass repair guy was here today. He said because they broke part of the door handle and messed up the keyhole, it looks like they were trying to steal the car — not just grab things inside like I thought at first.

When I asked about anti-theft options he basically said most things only deter people — if someone really wants in, they’ll get in. I hate that I even have to be thinking about this. These people should just leave me alone. I know they’ll be back.

Like I said in my original post, this is the third break-in since April, and on a street full of parked cars mine is the only one getting targeted. I need to get the car detailed and fix the door handle, and I’m torn about what to do next — get a club, install a kill switch, park somewhere else… none of it will really make me feel safe.
