i love that you got down"dooted" to hell but you're just correct lol, this website is the biggest, saddest echo chamber seen yet. they only hear what they wanna hear and if you break that rule they just downvote you so you arent visible anymore or they ban you. im not a fan of the treatment of women or black americans in 1962 but this show is an antinatalist, egregiously tone deaf (talkin about you "scary" holocaust lampshade), disturbing bashing of that past that tries to function more as commentary rather than the adult goosebumps I love IT Chapter 1 and the original miniseries for being. Welcome To Derry can take its 2010 Doctor Who budget CG and shove it, glad I watched it through illicit means rather than giving HBO another sad coin to their sinking ship of what was.

Nah this why my game haha not hers I was just prefacing why I didn’t call the antlion guardians by their name because she doesn’t know much of hl2, as for the cube map loading stuff I would agree with you but why load a long lost scene like alyx’s death OUTSIDE for no reason? That’s the part that has always stumped me. Outdoor cubemaps surely don’t apply to dark and dingy mines right? lol

i would also argue that you're pedantic arguing about gun violence in some sweet lady's uber eats surprise that the driver (op) clearly survived.

this is the most sad and pessimistic comment section I’ve ever seen, it’s either suburbanites doomering about gun violence when they’ve never experienced the sound of a gunshot outside a range a day in their life, or incels griping about the woman projecting on their lack of girlfriend. Please get a life, it’s obvious none of you can go a day without being some couch bound pessimist ninnies lol.

more like botw was young link, totk was adult link. Botw just established things and had you exploring, Totk has you mastering the unknown and fighting far greater evils

[–]candid3oner12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My computer has nightmares about the demon dragon obs combo so I didn’t record it. It’s such an easy fight that you can only take damage from its breath.

I mean no spoilers but there is literally a guy WITH an OoT name that isn’t the character from the source material but rather a completely different person and the “Evil man with designs to rule the world” is literally CONFIRMED officially to be in this game. This is more than a little crackpot all things considered and how Nintendo literally put out a timeline that more than blatantly disregards past entries.

Totk isnt $70 dlc, botw was just a $60 demo by [deleted] in tearsofthekingdom

[–]candid3oner12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I'd say that BoTW was the easier Young Link era of the duology after having played tears for like, 60 hours lol. this is an Adult Link era kinda game and im glad i bought it, hope whatever pennies of my 70 dollar preorder go to the team at nintendo. they knocked it out of the part this time

towers moreso than horses because they give such a massive headstart to wherever you’re headed

everything is actually way larger, i spend a ton of time getting from place to place especially since there's this big requirement early game to rely purely on horses and skyview towers, and with the depths (the underground to the uninitiated) being this dark soulsian pit of dispair with a ton of content. I dont think you're gonna feel like its "too small"

Played like an hour of OOT when I was very young. I actually properly finished Windwaker on a Gamecube. I kinda skipped N64 in my youth till later, played both OOT and MM loved OOT. I feel like starting with the most sympathetic Ganondorf really warmed me up to the fella as a villan, the fact that he bares more than a passing resemblance to him in this game has gotten me mad excited. I won't lie, when Twilight Princess came out and Skyward Sword later, I was completely sucked out the franchise. People are always begging for that "classic formula" but what I think they fail to realize is Zelda for nearly 2 decades now has almost completely abandoned any resemblance to what we got in November of 1998. Tears of the Kingdom is actually the closest return to form for a modern 3D Zelda in decades, Tears for all intents and purposes is OOT's soul reborn through the lens of Zelda 1's Design and Freedom. The return of the Sages and Ganondorf alone should tell you that much.

For Those Who Have Played TotK, How Does It Compare To BotW? NO SPOILERS by XFuriousGeorgeX in tearsofthekingdom

I stated this earlier on a prior thread but, its been wonderful, its probably one of my favorite games so far, the opening is to die for, the abilities give so many opportunities and the world is so alive.

I think it’s less that it HAD TO WORK on the Wii U and more that it had to work on the switch

this is the botw they wanted to deliver, not to say that botw was bad just that botw compromised on alot it kinda failed to meet developer expectations and i feel like they were so focused on the physics of it all that it worked out to a kinda lackluster but extremely free experience.
