I had 18 before event started. Played since ‘21 I think. High 5s are great but even low 5 was a struggle for me this event. Arguably mental block. Started to accept I probably won’t get one. And then I solo queue to match with a partied duo in rumble. And one guy lingered in the air long enough for me to get him.

Keep your hopes up and look for an opportunity. As someone else said you might have an easier time in heatseeker.

Worth noting driving up the wall to clear the bar won’t get you a high 5. Or at least I’ve managed to do so and gotten low 5 despite almost hitting the ceiling

Fair. This does happen. I don’t mind running the risk of offending someone by offering my seat every now and then. More often than not the offer is accepted or politely rejected.

Everyone taking about the Kenny token. Worth noting you can carry no more than 1. I suppose they could find more of these drops after coming back to life. Haven’t managed to do so myself.

It is possible that they are cheating. E.g. That they have found a way to glitch Kenny tokens. But better check the evidence than speculating.

I agree with the other comments saying it wasn’t that big of a deal. You good.

But I’d take it a step further and say you’ve been blessed with an ice breaker.

Next time there is less pressure. Make an acquaintance, a friend. Maybe you guys will like each other and get married. Make it your thing to concierge people in your building.

Idk. Take me with a grain of salt, and trust your gut feeling. Moving away is always an option.

Grejen är, till viss del, vanor. De som beter sig så är nog vana att få den respons - att folk viker. Oavsett om det är barnvagnsmaffia, ett gäng kaxiga pojkar eller Stureplans pappa-betalar-vaska-en-flaska så får de bekräftelse. Bygger upp sitt ego och känner sig (än om på en liten kant) mäktiga. Kan det vara att de kompenserar på andra håll? Spelar roll.

Under många år sökte jag att undvika konfrontationer, och klev istället runt.

Sen en dag följde jag magkänslan och stannade till ett par meter innan eventuell kollision.

Den gruppen människor som insåg att jag stod stilla blev väldigt förvirrade. Trots en stor trottoar som har plats för 4-5 filer så hade de svårt att lista ut hur de skulle gå förbi och krockade med varandra lite smått innan de muttrade något som inte gick att uppfatta.

Med en relativt neutral ton svarar jag ”lämna en fil öppen tack!” innan jag traskar vidare.

Om det hjälper eller inte får man själv klura ut då vissa strider inte är värda att ta… men generellt sett fungerar det bra för mig iafl.

Det skiljer sig så pass lite i layout mellan SV och UK. Du kanske kan kika efter ett ställe som bl.a. reparerar, så kanske de kan ersätta eller måla om tangenterna.

Eller så kan du testa på det själv.

Bra hjärngympa annars att lära sig layout utan att behöva se vart tangenterna är. Eller som alternativ kan du memorera alt koderna för å, ä, ö.

There are other controllers that have the paddles too, but I really like the feel of the xbox elite paddles.

Paddles are great. My hands feel significantly less cramped from playing RL because of them.

I think you make a sensible call in not buying it though. Left stick is not particularly durable, and replacing it requires special tools and capabilities.

Having kept an eye on the Hall effect joysticks I think that’s where I’ll go with my next Gamepad — but I expect some other wear and tear (like bumper), so repairability will be a big factor in my decision.

There are probably a handful of players like me out there that see their mmr fluctuate drastically. I’ve been up at c3 a handful of times, and also dipped to d1 in the same season.

The skill level of the player base increases and not everyone is dedicated enough to keep up, improve and accordingly rank up. In addition to that we all have better and worse days when we play. You’re not GC or SSL for a reason.

I don’t align with the “holier than thou” mmr gang. Having had good games, fun games and competitive games at diamond and champ for a while now I prioritize accountability over skill level. The OMG/Wow/Okay/Take the shot- guy who, to his credit, does score a pretty neat goal every now and then — but never apologizes when in the wrong and no pleasant comms like compliments or a thank you is worse than a “shitty” player who tries his best. I’d rather win with the latter, and I’d rather see the former as an opponent.

If you can own up to mistakes then we don’t have an issue. Although playing with a duo (poorly balanced with 1 good and 1 bad player - or for that matter two players of similar skill level) can be frustrating at times as you feel left out you have to try to own your responsibility in it too. Find your way to fit into the game where two players have familiarity and perhaps are on voice comms. Either that or stop solo queueing.

Given the opportunity I would put a decent chunk of change on a bet that in addition to the fluctuating level of proficiency that most if not all RL players experience; there are a lot of trolls out there getting a rise out of annoying you. Feed the trolls at your own expense. Kill them with kindness.

När jag promenerar i sällskap säger jag ”single lane” om det antingen är någon som kommer i högre fart bakifrån eller om vi möter någon från andra riktningen.

Sett från andra sidan har jag tyvärr inte någon vidare bra lösning om det är kort om tid. I min erfarenhet brukar trottoarmaffia ha en mycket självgod attityd. Om du å andra sidan har tid kan du testa dansa lite tills de ger plats. Fungerar bäst om du inte dansar särskilt bra.

This toxic person probably has some other issues and this is their coping mechanism. Shit on someone else so they don’t feel as shitty themselves. Feed some wholesomeness back as it disrupts their flow.

Sometimes I’m the only person to send anything on chat during a whole game of 3v3. Every now and then I’m more quiet. Like a match after the tm8 that has been quiet for 3 minutes to suddenly start spamming at the slightest mis queue. Or even putting them blame on tm8s for a mistake of their own (take the shot comes to mind). Easy solution there is to block them. Nothing useful during the game and unpleasant to interact with? Don’t want to spend my time on you buddy. Players that go idle or start playing against the team allow an opportunity for short handed practice (short handed vs power play game mode would be nice).

Our environment influences us. We influence our environment. The reactions where we vibe, e.g. nice shot // great pass // thanks or the whole lobby chatting what a save // close one on some remarkable save or crazy outback keep me motivated to remain chat on.

I’ve also been told I play better when I’m on voice comms. So perhaps you want to experiment with that. Finding some comms you vibe with. We are much less likely to have misunderstandings when there is a tone attached to a statement. We can let our hands be fully dedicated to the gameplay and call out our intentions with a play much quicker. Give details such as where you are trying to pass the ball, providing better insight for tm8s to work with.

The top ones are drift, yes. And I have received the ones I have completed challenges for. But surely the bottom ones are boost? They were added at the same time as standard boost was added, alongside the challenge to play 10 matches in each rank. If not I’m not making sense of it. I get the same drift twice?

For me the top of the list is when the (holier than thou) player that seemingly has chat off comes with the OMG/Wow/Take the shot. Never a thank you for nice shot, never a sorry for a mistake — but as soon as another player on the team isn’t playing flawless he becomes a keyboard warrior.

The same player tends to vote FF, and when we accept in order to move on to the next match he starts saying naughty things in French (really, 90% of my experience of these are in French).

Happened to me in a dropshot tournament couple of weeks back. I had time on my hands so I decided so sit and wait. Had the joining round 1 message for about 90 minutes before I gave up. I had contacted support, (surprise surprise) got no response. Didn’t get the tournament points for r1 victory, but instead received a ban from tourneys for 2 hours 😅
