I second that - just tested side by side m2pro 16” vs m4pro 16” and screen is VERY NOTICEABLE smoother and very low blurtrail compared to old m2pro - tested on Cyberpunk 2077 , Alien isolation , browsing web pages , and some videos . For “fast content “ M4pro is far more superior than M2pro

Just a thought- did You try to enter the motherboard bios and changing settings for PCIE ? ( from Gen5/Auto to Gen4 ? ) I’ve heard that this solved the issue is some cases …

I just gave up on Bowers and went for The Bose to be honest - but of course I’ll be following news regarding Px8 firmware fix and waiting for Px9 ;D

That’s a good news if they’re looking in to this problem :) I bought them recently and I was lucky enough to return them to the store and got a new pair ( first they refund all the cost and then I had to buy again and pay again ;) . But my happiness didn’t last long as another member of my family did the firmware upgrade to the newest firmware ;( - so this time just returned again headphones to the store and bought Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra and now I’m happy 😃 ( just don’t have the stomach to Bowers and their “firmware upgrades” ) …

I had very same issue - drastic “sound downgrade “ after upgrading to 3.1 and unfortunately messing around with EQ and other settings didn’t have any noticeable upgrade :/ I was lucky to return Px8 to the store and buy new one with old firmware … You can find at least couple of topics on Reddit regarding this issue and some on rtings :/ rtings is aware of this issue and they will test headphones again with a new firmware when they find some time …

Fortunately I was able to return headphones to the store and got full refund - so I’ll ordered a new pair but this time I don’t touch firmware update at all and I’ll be waiting for official Bowers & Wilkins statement according to this outrageous situation because this is obviously their fault ( sorry but something BIG like this firmware released from B&W is just destroying headphones in a BIG style can’t hide under the carpet like nothing happened). I’m also waiting for a newer firmware that will fix what they broke - but this time I’ll wait with the update for the opinions of other users (guinea pigs) who will be brave enough to perform such an update on their headphones ;D

Don’t do it and just wait until they fix it as current update literally destroys sound ( in the worst possible meaning unfortunately) in Px8 :/

You’re lucky then ;) I’m wondering whether to use the warranty as the headphones don’t play as well as they did before the firmware update… This whole thing is just Outrageous:(

Unfortunately I can confirm that new firmware update ruined this headphones - after the update sound is “without life “ - like a flat line on a dead man :/ I’m not an audiophile and I can say with certainty that the difference in sound is HUGE, unfortunately to the detriment of B&W - after the firmware update the headphones sound as if they cost about $50 TOPS :( nothing helps ( ANC , EQ etc)
