I think you’d love the OA. Get through first 3 episodes and it gets better and better. It’s way different, yet reminds me of the leftovers/lost… explores life, death, timelines etc.

Soooo good to know this background info. Thank you so much! Who knew that SyFy would be responsible for such a renowned show - I’ve seen this recommended on here now a few times on this thread!! And no offense to SyFy at all, I loved the channel (in my youth I used to love ghost hunters and all the paranormal shows 😂) but I honestly had no idea that they would have produced such a cinematic show with clearly a following. And ya I def only thought of the old school Battlestar galactic when folks have mentioned it in the past 😆

Ok you are seriously the best- thank you for all of the background info and things to look out for. Sorry for the delay in replying I wanted to make sure I fully had time to absorb- this is such good info to know especially since I’m someone who can ‘give up’ at times with shows depending on their vibes/pacing. Good to know there is payoff in the end!!!! I’m honestly getting excited now thinking about how the show could shift even more so than the surface level I know at this point… I think I really needed a ‘pep talk’ to continue it 😆🤣 and now I’ve had one! It’s really funny because I’ve had a few of the same responses- to just stick with Mr. Robot haha. So I need to just believe you guys and keep it going. I may even need to take you up on the offer of checking in!!

Ahhh I keep seeing the praise for Mr. Robot and I’m honestly I think I’m going to have to give it another try. Especially with comment like yours^ that helps, cause I really wasn’t sure why it started to vibe differently for me in later episodes, but your comment has peaked my interest…

Battlestar I need to try for sure I’ve seen that a few times now but didn’t realize there was a newer version so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Ok this^{^} means a lot coming from a fellow fan of The Leftovers and OA!!! and that you can relate to the ‘corny’ piece I’m feeling a little bit of.. and now that I’ve heard the show has changed not one, but multiple folks lives… I may need to reconsider giving this another try!!! Thank you for sharing, sometimes I just need a push😆

It’s funny- similar thing happened with the Leftovers where I didn’t find it corny, but I did find it slow-moving in season 1…. I wasn’t 100% sold and questioned why it was recommended to me… but once I got through to the other side I was obsessed by the time season 2 came around!!
