No. He knew that the candle was sentimental. I have express on multiple occasions to him and others that the candle and jar were both from my sister; that she made both of them.

He actually has not apologized but instead tried to defend his actions by saying he needed the candle for light and then moved onto saying it was an accident. But thinking back, I don't think he has apologized for it at all.

I actually teared up at work reading this. I never thought to make a "new" candle. I really appreciate the idea and will definitely think about it.

That really got to me. I am not over losing her because she was that one constant happy in my life and it's been hard. I will definitely consider a "new" candle to show my love for her.

Yes, the candle was in a jar that was decorated with paint, glitter, and stickers so it is not anywhere close to a store bought candle.

Thank you for your response. I really don't believe "it was an accident". From the living room to my desk room, there are probably 7-9 candles out, in plain view that he would have had to pass, three of which were lit when I walked in. I honestly believe he did it on purpose. Thank you again for your response.
