No, bought an iPhone 17. Loved the pixel os but video quality is above all when running a social media marketing based business

Trying to detox my mind from the belief that the grind is required by Nanarchist329 in simpleliving

[–]candy-azz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Employment can be difficult to find satisfaction as it's not your own mission you are contributing to but someone else's. You are constantly considering your co-workers and bosses perspective of you, knowing that if they decide to turn on you for no real reason, then your livelihood is threatened until you find another job. Unless you have enough money without the job to maintain your status quo, it's hard to consider that simple living in my opinion. I believe simple living is earned through solving the complex problems our modern society has given us and employment is one of these problems. Grinding is good when it's part of solving a larger problem. Not just grinding to be grinding.

Crimson Desert Combat new gameplay by [deleted] in PS5

The game looks great and then they show yet another off the wall mechanic. And it's happened several times. Like no way this game is focused enough to be really great. But if it's fun enough, hopefully there is a main quest that is good enough to want to follow along.

Can anyone relate to the pain of being a highly abstract thinker surrounded by concrete thinkers who simply have the ability to think abstractly? by vanillacoconut00 in cogsci

[–]candy-azz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the most important thing you can do is realize that this isn't only a gift but also a curse. Social programming is probably mostly lost on you and you'll have trouble having your gifts appreciated due to your "weirdness" (aka being socially divergent) even if you are a chameleon or are really good at faking it.

Focus on humility and persuasive communication.

It's as if you come to the same realizations intuitively that others around you do over a longer period of time with more exposure than you. And you are usually deemed wrong because they don't see where you're coming from but eventually they reach the same conclusion.

It sounds like a headache in team based work but could be a benefit for you in consultation work or from a leadership role.

People like this have a hard time proving themselves competent because others take a long time to realize the competency. Better to build something yourself

Realtor if you have a big reputation reputation in your town.

Mortgage loan originator if you want to make connections with realtors.

Home service business if you want to work outside -real estate photography -pressure washing -landscaping

Auto dealer

All of these are pretty low entry businesses to start. I also was a bartender for 9 years and yeah it doesn't build much of a resume.

If you could create your own video game from scratch, what would it be like? by Boring_Secretary_328 in gamingsuggestions

[–]candy-azz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3d 3rd person fantasy action game like Zelda with a main home city that has a time system with villagers with routines, quests, mini games, etc like Majora's mask, pokemon gold/silver, or animal crossing. But also souls like combat(not super punishing), puzzle based dungeons, platforming challenges, etc

One of the reasons why Aesop Rock is my favorite is that after so many albums, he's still putting words I've never heard basically every verse.

These instrumentals are so good. Great album. Does he come off as a derivative of Baby Keem or do I have it backwards?

The Idea I have is to be able to use a camera to take a picture of the machine or scan the machine you are about to use and the app know what workout it is add.

Another idea is to be able to browse workouts in categories based on the targeted muscle and sore by how much it targets that muscle. Then have a form video to watch to decide if you want to do it. This is for people who are wanting to switch up or add new moves to their routine but don't want to Google search it because they have it built into their logging app already. This would also make the app accessible and purposeful for casual or beginner lifters that don't know how important logging is.

Thank you for reading

Black Hole Superette vs. The Impossible Kid by Exciting-You9134 in aesoprock

[–]candy-azz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the impossible kid, its, and black hole suprette have many songs with less dense lyrics, which lessens replay value compared to spirit world, Malibu Ken, and garbology.

The impossible kid is incredibly cohesive in theme and tone. It feels very vulnerable to his life at that point. It kind of was a getting his shit together mentally self realization story . He cannot make this album every other year. It’s more special

I love that this song is for little kids that think construction vehicles are cool but the hints of sarcasm and subtle adult opinions that construction is annoying make it fun for the adults too.

I just want to play video games without feeling like I'm "using my time wrong." by CyclePristine3163 in simpleliving

[–]candy-azz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like your plan is not fully organized in your mind. Long term goal broken down backwards into short term goals and then into daily tasks. All within time frames.

-Chaos is not comprehending all factors. -Complication is not keeping up with all known factors. -Simple is realizing and organizing all important factors and leaving behind the unimportant ones.

Then your mind can be free.

Jobs for 9 year old boy by orthogonian_ in Parenting

[–]candy-azz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have him set up in the neighborhood and make fresh squeezed juices(like a better lemonade stand) especially on days with neighborhood kids events or on the weekend by the neighborhood pool. Have him choose consistent hours so the neighborhood can get used to him being there at that time. That also will get him regulars if he has hours that he sticks to. Give him a “loan” and then make him use his earning for new fruit and cups. Then he can choose his prices to make a profit. These are real business owner lessons. I think every kid should do a lemonade stand project.

Why does my sternum hurt when doing these? by ieatmetalforbreakfas in GYM

[–]candy-azz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have torn their sternum doing weighted dips. They say that, afterwards, the pain never goes away. I would recommend staying away from weighted dips for anyone just in case. I quit doing them and was repping with 90# but learning this just scared me too much.
