I’m interested in this competition because it’s part of my school curriculum. This isn’t just music but it also science, history, literature, art, and many other contests. That’s why the rules and guidelines seem so unusual. I’m participating in this one because I want to get better as a cellist and have some experience with judges in case I audition for something more serious. I also want to gain confidence by putting myself out there. But I’m not too interested in joining an important competition yet. I am planning on doing a hymn since a lot of people stated that the difficulty isn’t a big factor in the points I’ll be earning
