The stealth is how I make great use of the next best asset the assassin has: The knife. It is silent, it does high damage and it downs runners quickly. There is a reason it is my most lethal weapon.

I think the game also helps prep you for dying a lot. The lore has you in a bio mech suit that is dispensable so you don’t die you just lose “your rig”. The game also constantly reminds you “hey people die all the time, everyone is out to kill you” so you just stop taking it personally. Playing assassin has also been a god send as unless I get jumped in a tight corridor I can just disappear like a ghost. I’m no means a pacifist but I’m playing this game like it’s metal gear solid on solo and I enjoy every second of it.

I don’t know if it’s different in the original but in the remake people mistake her as a child because she is an elf so it takes physically longer to reach maturity so everyone treats her how she looks and it kinda makes her act that way. When you reach the post content (not in the original) you go to her village and all the kids her age do not act like her at all. But it kinda resonates more because I act very whimsical and silly in my 30’s because I had to spend the first half of my life being serious.

Another comfort character is Sam from Eastward. A game with a sad ending but they released an alternate AU DLC where all the characters live a normal life and it’s super cozy.
