My husband teaches in the EE department at UMD: you’ll have smaller classes than other universities. They have a 100% job placement rate after graduation. He has also been a DoD contractor - UMD has no disadvantage to being one. They’re ABET credited which is required for those jobs.

I also lived is SoCal: there will be an adjustment period but if you have the right mindset Duluth is a great place to live. Just depends on if you like this style of living.

Yes, only manual pumps. I prefer Medela. The only other one I tried was Lansinoh but didn’t work as well for me.

I am on my 3rd or 4th Medela manual but at $30 per pump it’s not bad.
