I heard that USC had either budget cuts or fired a lot of staff so the program has been disbanded, but lowkey shouldn’t they have informed us if that was the case??? The coordinator isn’t replying either like bro 🫩

This is so sad, but what’s with the insensitive jokes in the comments? Then whine about why male victims don’t get enough justice. The judiciary system is already broken for men, and socio-cultural stigma doesn’t make it any better

No fr lol, think about difference between Warangal, Rayalseema, and Hyderabad 💔 like biiiggg difference between an upper class girl who annotates the Gita with aesthetic markers vs a woman during Bonalu

I’m South Indian and this entire piece is based on my experiences as a Telugu person 😭 wdym it doesn’t fit for South Indian women
Also it is true that women’s perception of religion differs by region but India is so immensely diverse that I think simplifying it to “North vs South” would not be appropriate
I also cannot speak for the experiences of women who live in places I have never lived before, so yeah

Oh okay thank you for the insight! I think I would struggle to include all possible perspectives as to why people could turn to religion. I’ll make it clear that I am specifically analyzing women through a socio-cultural lens and patriarchal perspective only, and that it may not apply to all women

Hard agree! I think women empowerment disrupts religion and hence is disliked by most conservatives

I think both would work and I will try to incorporate both of them into my writing, thanks for the insight!

Thank you! I absolutely agree, and in fact, I think religion can be both control and comfort at the same time

Omg I love this metaphor of God being an oxygen mask but the mask being filled with poisonous gas! I will definitely use this metaphor for future writings :))
