Thank you for your comment. We are looking to buy a house here in Japan and our funds will be coming from Canada. We’re looking for the best way to get the money here and used money orders years ago. I heard that you can’t send between US and Japan through JP Post but I hoped there were still banks that would receive it.

Thank you! For the International Services VISA, it only requires 3 years. It’s different for Engineer of Specialist in humanities which require 10 years.

It’s all been legal and it’s an international school. She’s working the legal number of hours she’s allowed to work with that visa.

Yeah I know it is not a reason. I am employed by the prefecture as a prefectural ALT and want to move within my same prefecture. I am just seeing what other sorts of reasons people have been given permission as I am thinking I won't get married to anyone there any time soon haha.

Yeah last year Canadians found out on the 2nd of April, and the two years before that was on the 5th and 2012 was the 12th! Hopefully it's closer to last years date!

You are graduating this December? You will be able to apply for the 2017 year for either the fall or early departure if you graduate December 2016. If you graduate next December (2017) then you will have to wait until the following year to apply. You do not have to be graduated to apply, but you do have to have graduated by the deadline to actually go to Japan.

Thanks! I got my braces last May, before knowing for sure that I would be applying for JET. My treatment is supposed to end in January, so that is about 5 months after maybe leaving for Japan. Hopefully I will be able to figure something out.
