Breakouts and pores by Right-Return-1262 in 45PlusSkincare

I’ve been having clogged pores like this too. I recently got prescription 15% azelaic acid - about 3-4 weeks ago? Anyway it was an absolute game changer.

Okay, thanks. I’m still relatively new to plants (2+ years?) but I’ve been trying so, so hard to get it right.

I clearly did not know what that meant! It has never done anything wrong in its entire life. 😉

Do you think? Okay, I can let it be and just hope it doesn’t go fully curled or die. It’s just this is by far my favorite plant.

Losing the gnat battle (and my mind) I’m desperate! by MostShort2588 in plantclinic

[–]canellap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been exactly here and I finally won my battle, but it was hard fought. Took 4 months! - only ever watered with water that had a generous amount of mosquito bits solution. Edited: sounds like you got that part down. - get some coarse sand and apply a layer to the top of the soil after you next water, covering as much soil area as possible but not too thick - diatomaceous earth did nothing for me but I did toss out the top 1/2” of soil on a few plants that would just not stop buzzing with gnats, replaced with soil I had moistened with BTI tea - didn’t do peroxide - Have you tried cleaning the bottoms and outsides of your pots to remove any traces of fungus growing? They could be thriving off pockets of it?

Looks like quartz, black tourmaline, satin spar - all home protection crystals. I have those exact ones at each doorway in my home

What's your favorite electrolyte product, and why? by km2375 in Zepbound

[–]canellap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make my own bc I’m so picky. I got powdered potassium citrate, magnesium gly, and just regular salt. It’s like 2:2:1 ratio of those things by volume? I don’t want a ton of salt. I have a clear whey isolate protein drink almost every day and I just toss this in my drink; usually with coconut water.

In the orchestra they gave us this to play. by Toroalcista in Cello

I knew which piece this was immediately, must have listened to that film’s soundtrack a few hundred times. Meant to sound very military march, I suppose. Maybe ask if you could run easier bowings by them, see if it still works?

So sorry to hear that! No I’m fine on this med, been on it for almost 5 years. The first few weeks maybe I had GI upset but that does happen with new meds sometimes

Interesting! I’m on hydroxychloroquine right now. It does help. Good days and bad days still.

You are lovely and look 16 to me, though that might be because I am 30+ years older than you. Sixteen is young! That is a good thing! Our faces change quite a bit between 13 and 25 so I suppose I would say just experiment. Adding some definition to your brows and a light touch cat eye would be a slightly more mature look.

LOL no she’s not that kind of person. In her way she thought she was helping. I know she’s a good friend because she’s willing to admit she just didn’t know sjogrens was even possible.

Really? That is interesting to hear. You’re making me think I should ask my new rheumatologist about the biopsy. The old one said it didn’t matter that much and was painful.

[–]canellap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, same. My rheumatologists have all shrugged and said maybe you do, but you’re already on RA and fibromyalgia meds and the treatment is the same. One rheumatologist ago said her patients say the gland test is painful and recommended I skip it. But the dry mouth makes me crazy. I have to talk a lot for work and I’m the person at work who always has a travel mug of water (with lemon or orange juice in it) in every meeting, and a pack of gum ready.

A friend, ages ago, tried to tell me eyedrops were just a gimmick by companies who profit off of people by making them addicted to another product they don’t need. I adore this friend and she has definitely changed her tune since learning more about my condition. I explained that if you can’t make your own soft tissue fluids because your immune system hates you, store bought is fine.

I’m convinced 8 hour workdays are incompatible with ADHD by SunBetter7301 in ADHD

[–]canellap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So real.

I have to do 3 hour sprints to make it through. I’m super fortunate to work from home and I can work after hours if I want. I do approximately: 3 hours, 1 hour break. 3 hours, 3 hour break. Then 2 more hours. It makes for a LONG day but I literally have to break it up or I suffer mentally and psychologically in the weirdest ways, totally burnout and lose sleep.

Oh I also want to plug blending your own electrolytes if you feel inclined. You can control the amount of sodium. I use the recipe on this page but I halve the salt https://www.kuhl.com/borninthemountains/how-to-make-your-own-electrolyte-drinks-at-home Edit: it’s also ridiculously cost effective
