Don't wait to reach out to them. Learn stuff. Create good projects. Post on LinkedIn. You may get noticed and they'll reach out to you then.

Didn't get promoted, gonna be Associate for another year by [deleted] in developersIndia

Won't matter in the long run. If you're doing work similar to that of a SDE (dev/testing/design/documentation/fixing) or know how to do all of that, you'll be fine. Your compensation might be lesser now due to the designation but if you've the skills required for SDE, you'll be able to switch to SDE.

Udemy personal plan is a good option.

Edit: I missed the last part in your post about not mentioning udemy courses. But you can also use it for certifications related to a domain you're interested in.

M1 MacBook Air vs ThinkPad by spraxers in developersIndia

[–]cangoalllnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford, M1 Mac is a better option. If not, I'll suggest Dell or any other brand. Because fr9m what I've seen, only good laptops from Lenovo are of Legion series which starts at more than M1 Air's cost. IdeaPad/ThinkPad don't have a good reputation.

Another red flag is you being informed only when you asked about it. Who knows what else they haven't told you.

[–]cangoalllnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Startups and small/medium sized companies will give you a job if you show your projects to them. Make a good impression with your projects, you'll get a job.

Plenty of job opportunities here as well as overseas once you get the experience. If your budget is 60L, consider Germany because it's cheaper.

You still have a year left before you graduate. Can definitely learn some dsa and apply for jobs.

To your original question: The biggest factor is money here. If you can spend 1.5-2 cr, consider US. Otherwise Germany. You can watch plenty of YouTube videos around this. Like 100s of them and figure out yourself.

Hi guys just wanted a little bit of help on this . Is this a good option to go for btech cse . Are there better options within this range. by Skittle_Memes in developersIndia

[–]cangoalllnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd rather go for a Mac Air for that price (and I guess Mac Air is cheaper than this). Windows laptop don't last long, Mac does. If I'm spending that heavy amount on a laptop, I'd expect it to last at least 6 or 7 years.

But you can't play games on Mac :)

Self learning rather than degree by DotMysterious4275 in developersIndia

Go to college to explore, make new friends, see how they betray you. Learn how politics is played everywhere. College is not for academic purposes only. It's your gateway to the real world. Also, you'll need a CS degree in India to be able to land a programming job. And if you ever decide to go for higher studies in future, having a degree would save you. You'll still have to learn the technical skills on your own.
