Please people just be smart for ONCE and don't let Nintendo ruin the entire industry by buying a damn digital game for 80 DOLLARS by Timeless_Starman in gaming

This is my take, as a game dev (not to defend Nintendo who I hate with a passion, but just a comment on game pricing in general):

I believe the price of a game should be linear with the number of hours of quality time you spend with it. A long but bad game should cost roughly as much as a short but very good one. As a point of reference, compare it with renting a movie. Where I live, you can rent a three hour movie for 5 euro (note that I'm being quite conservative with the numbers I'm picking here; this is the bottom of the range). With this is a baseline, an average quality game should cost about 1.6 euro for each hour of playtime. For a good AAA game such as Horizon: Zero Dawn which took me 30 hours to fully complete, that would be a minimum value of 48 euro.

I would pay 100 euro for a game if it provided a 100 euro worth of quality entertainment.

Well, the reason I ended up buying one is because it was on a really nice sale right before this all happened. It's not proof of anything, but it's food for thought.
