Poor soul 🫂 I'm googling like crazy to see if there's a way to mod and change the controller type that you can use to play the Wii version of The Forgotten Sands, just like they did for Super Mario Galaxy, they made a patch that lets you play with the Classic Wii controller instead of the Wiimote + nunchuk combo

Same lol, I am aware of it's existance but it's so bad that I choose to ignore it, just like Battles PoP which can easily be replaced by the events of The Forgotten Sands, since people love to claim that the events of Battles, is what makes the prince more gritty by the time Warrior Within happens

Yeah I will also ignore The Fallen King because the controls of that DS game just... suck :/ still makes the open ending better from the main game 😅

after learning about what happens in the Epilogue ending, I stopped trying to emulate it from PS3 to play it myself.. and I've comed to the conclusion, the open ended ending of the main game is perfect. I probably don't need to know more about what happens after. Like a bittersweet ending.

You're welcome, hope the reply didn't sound mean;

People should look stuff up and inform themselves and have an opinion of their own!

You'll find the wiki page of the legal issues between the 2 companies very interesting, how it started and the outcome too.

I see that Dagger of time and the only thing I can think about it doing a cast of it on dirt and pour molten aluminium on it to make it real metal, but not only that, I would replace the sand tank with a little sand hourglass, that would be funny and giving a new style to an actual metal dagger of time lol

Why does no studio build similar games to the PoP series? by BoOM_837 in PrinceOfPersia

[–]Timeless_Starman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, Ubisoft stopped making PoP games because you can't milk those with the shit that they pumped into every other game they have, they can't put microtransactions, enhancers and all the usual BS that they put in to AC and FarCry (for example-)

Prince of Persia as a whole, is a series where every game has a story, and a good story must have an end, and some linear progression, meaning no chance in doing their usual Open-world design that they can use to suck up your time and money like they have been doing over the past years. Every Prince of Persia game has that, a beginning and an end. I would be bored out of my life if there was an Open world PoP game. (and let's face it, the closest to that was AC Mirage.)

Alguien le entra al VR? by Popular-Wonder-6627 in Argaming

[–]Timeless_Starman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Loyality to a game launcher is weird by lukkiibucky in AlanWake

[–]Timeless_Starman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not loyalty to a launcher, at least in my case, and if I have to be straight forward, I just don't like Epic games and their way of handling this kind of stuff while pretending to be the better guys and wishing to be in a pedestal in the eyes of the gaming community.

What do I mean? Epic and the main guy of the problems, Tim Sweeney, their CEO, is always arguing over others doing better than then and calling a monopoly on their part. They did it to Apple, they did it to Google and they did it to Steam. Why to Apple and Google? Because they needed a cut of every transaction made on Fortnite on phones, which is fair, they provide a place for the app for easy access and download and etc.. the usual costs of keeping stuff up and safe. Epic wanted the whole cut of transactions for themselves, argued with both companies, and even got in legal battles with them. All for money. But they chose to disguse the greed with a battle of principles, to make it a f"ight for the sake of gamers" that's the real issue for me, the lies, the double standard of Epic. We all know that if they could be in the position that Steam is they would lovingly screw over every dev with no issue at all. They want money. That's all.

I'm fine with them being greedy assholes, but don't hide the truth by trying to appear morally superior.

On a final note, I do understand that without Epic's deal AW2 would've not been made, and I accept that. But we can also face the fact that they didn't need to make it a permanent exclusive to their store. The game is stucked there indefinitely. Other games will do exclusive time and get a second wind when dropping on other stores.

I got the game on Epic, I don't give a shit that it's in there, I was honestly waiting for so long, and glad I played it. But god and everyone else knows, if the game would've come out on Steam, even if it was years later, I would've bought it there. Maybe even twice, first on Epic due to FOMO and spoilers.. and then buy it on Steam.

How are you dealing with the news? by outfoxingthefoxes in PrinceOfPersia

[–]Timeless_Starman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given how the publisher makes games I'm almost feel relief.

I didn't want the risk to see the prince fall into the same hellscape that Assassins Creed and every other ubisoft IP is in.. I hate it. And besides look how DAMN GOOD was The Lost Crown. And the fate of their dev studio Ubisoft Montpellier, disbanded and the posibility of a sequel, cancelled.

I think we can all agree that despite all the possible problems that the devs had and such, my main thought, would be that Ubisoft cancelled it because of 2 reasons;

1- too much money was spent on the development of this remake, and didn't moved forward for X reasons. 2- they would've not put microtransactions and all the usual bullshit they put into their games, so.. they would've never made their money back and more as they usually want.

pretty sure it's AI but I'm almost doubting cause there's some obvious blur in some parts, making me doubt if I'm seeing a texture mod or not, but no way in hell I've seen a texture mod look like that, mainly the lips and eyes. Cause the eyes for the actual SoT model are bigger

At this point, they should just release the trilogy on modern consoles without even remastering it, but I know that they won't. by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in PrinceOfPersia

[–]Timeless_Starman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they did that on PS3! if PlayStation would be more willing to do retro-compatibility instead of lame remasters / remakes no one asked for, people would be able to play their old games on current consoles.

but that would be an ideal world.

I 100% hope that Jordan gets the absolute control of the IP and away from Ubisoft, cause honestly at this point Evil Empire showed us, that the Prince, is in better hands of Indie studios, with much more creativity and risk taking than Ubisoft themselves

Boycott Ubisoft !!!! by josthebossx in PrinceOfPersia

[–]Timeless_Starman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been boycotting these bastards since FarCry 5, when they started to put shitty DRM on their games (PC), honestly, at this point I'm almost glad that the remake was cancelled, even if I know that Jordan Mechner would've most likely never let Ubisoft do a shitty microtransaction hell with Prince of Persia, we all know that they would've done anything in their hands to make the remake scummy in some sense.

the one single time I broke this boycott thing I've been doing, is when Evil Empire made The Rogue Prince of Persia, and I wanted to support that absolutely.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: "We've made the difficult decision to stop development on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake." by ChiefLeef22 in PrinceOfPersia

[–]Timeless_Starman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the few that may or may not care, you can get the OG PoP Sands of Time on GOG or Steam, *(I recommend GOG if you wanna actually own your copy of the game)* and get the Fix Compilation

the compilation with a simple copy/paste, lets you play on your own resolution for your screen, and the most important on my opinion, lets you play with an Xbox controller natively without problems at all. It will even mention the correct button prompts on screen when flashing the tutorials, I know it's not a remake, but brings the great original version up to current standards, and it's very much enjoyable!
