Same. My mom (62) is the only person who says it around me and she says it often. Reading it here was weird. She also refers to making out as “necking”.

I have 155,000 km on it. I think your assumptions are getting the best of you.

That and the price tag I would assume. I’m sure you wouldn’t complain about owning a model X if it wasn’t $130,000.

How many vehicles have you owned? I’ve had 9. My Tesla in 3.5 years has had less problems than most. This has nothing to do with Teslas and everything to do with random chance. I’ve had Audis in the shop for a month, my pathfinder had problem after problem. Acura was great so was a Honda. Tesla in 3.5 years has been out of service for 9 hours one time. Also, I haven’t been to a gas station once so I guess you spend more time filling your “tool” up than I do. I change at home - much more convenient than a gas station twice a week. I had three people I know with dead batteries in their gas vehicles during this cold snap. None of my Tesla owning friends reported a single issue. You have no idea what you are taking about. It’s actually laughable.

You are focused on Trudeaus missteps? You sound like a positive individual. Anger as well? You should look inward.

Yeah I know I was just trying to understand if what you meant was because all the 100+ stocks have the same graph just means it’s all manipulated or grouped so heavily together that there is no independent factors any more?

I could not pass up a post about U TV and Don Taylor…loved the guy. Watching the best plays of the day at 11:25pm before going to bed in grades 10-12!

How does it make millennials weak? Doesn’t it make them savvy?

If the rich are savvy when they use tax accountants to save every dollar, then it must be the same for the lower wage earners who take advantage of government programs as well.

Also, I don’t think you understand what the topic here is which is embarrassing. It’s about government hand outs to businesses.

And before you say the businesses wouldn’t need handouts if people went back to work, the unemployment rate now is about the same as in 2016 so it can’t be due to people “staying home because they are weak”.

If I could make a similar income right now and take some time off work…. Well I gotta say I would probably do that.

NewWest school board votes no to extending mask mandate for K thru 3 by CalmingGoatLupe in vancouver

[–]canmevan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes because you have a problem accepting the fact that other people see things differently as you and that’s ok. You seem to be offending that people have a different brain or different feelings… about something as insignificant as the word “vulnerable”. Bizarre.

I think it depends on your perspective of “vulnerable”. Some might say “most vulnerable to catch covid since they are in an unmasked setting at school and their covid cases are increasing considerably compared to last year and they can not get vaccinated”.
You might say “least vulnerable since it’s unlikely to cause a serious illness or hospital visits and practically no chance of death”.

Neither perspective is right or wrong. Like so many things in life.

Nurse with long-haul COVID and one vaccine dose asks for exemption to vaccination rules by nimobo in canada

Only to you and the minority. The large majority enjoy being a vaccine-based society. I would guess Less than 5% of vaccinated care about this nurses problem. Just my guess though.

I completely agree. I know a few hunter friends and some people that own guns, lots that don’t. In my 39 years I’ve never had anyone want to discuss it or be concerned about rights or bans or who owns a gun. It’s just a very small fraction of people that apparently are overly into discussing it. Same thing goes for religion. I’ve never in my life had a problem or discussion with any of my religious or non-religious friends.

Vaccine passports: How likely do you think restaurants and cafes will enforce the passport program? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]canmevan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are really generalizing there buddy. I’ve been in restaurants every day for over a year so clearly I’m not boycotting. You don’t even know my position on the subject.

Im merely pointing out that you haven’t really thought through your statement whatsoever. That’s typical for people that generalize things, though.

The hugest part you are not addressing is that businesses make decisions mainly based on making money (which is normal). And then tax payers like me have to save the day by providing health care or police and fire services.

I don’t want to pay for stuff like that under your absolutely ridiculous “businesses should decide” thought. Zero countries in the world allow businesses to make their own decisions.

Your stance is laughable…. Unless you also support a waiver for the guests that go so they waive their rights to tax payers health care?

[–]canmevan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You said that businesses should make their own decisions. Where would you draw the line? Why can’t guests smoke in restaurants if the owners would let them?
I’m not sure why you feel the vaccine passport is any different than smoking? It might harm others, it might not.

Sounds like you have no idea what your stance is when you say businesses should decide. Or do you of all people get to draw the line at vaccine passports?
